The location was good. Parking is in a garage behind the hotel, so not convenient for using your car. Valet is $40, plus tip.

Interesting hotel in the heart of downtown. I appreciated the restored, older look, and that lots of attention was paid to the architectural details. The experience of stepping back in time was neat, for sure. However, with regard to the general things about the hotel: The front desk staff was a little stuffy...not very welcoming, and somewhat cold. The hotel "scent" was pretty overwhelming in the lobby. It felt like we were sitting in the middle of a smokehouse, which we were told was the hotel scent mixed with the wood oven in the restaurant. The rooms were fine, like a normal Hilton room. But, we ran short of coffee pods, which they were unable to replace, and there was no free coffee in the lobby...everything was charged. I thought Hilton had standard amenity offerings, like the coffee, and for the room price, I was surprised they did not. Seems like the higher-end Hilton hotels should offer MORE, and not less. Drinks in the "speakeasy" were ok, but overpriced. Now that I feel I have "experienced" this hotel, I doubt I'll be going back.

Beautiful but not without a hitch

Beautiful facility but we had multiple reservations. I previously had to cancel 1 room out of the 4 ..... the one for our bride and groom. I went down to pay for it and it had been canceled along with the ONE room we had asked to cancel. Long story short.... the young man working the check-in (starts with E) was looking for another room and I said they'd have to book us a different room for our bride and groom and he said "we have lots of bride and groom's and yours is not my problem". I stayed calm and not loud but I was furious with this attitude. THEY canceled our room in error
