Booked a room and parking for our stay. The people at check in were not friendly when we asked for recommendations. We had booked a king bed, our room was two doubles. The AC didn’t work, roof leaked in the bathroom, mini fridge leaked water…when we reported no one came to the room. And since we booked with Expedia they told us they couldn’t do anything about it but comp our parking fees, that we already prepaid for. It was massively disappointing. The only good thing about the hotel was the location and the breakfast.

No room thermostat, controlled by manager throughout property. Manager explained building was old and could not be retrofitted. Hogwash. Was in Rome last month stayed in 400 yr old buildings hosting hotels that had in room thermostats. Owner does not want to invest, so why would you spend your hard earned $ on their property. I did ask for action away from the elevator and when I stepped off the elevator was looking at my room, so there’s that.

The sheets didn't seem very clean, there are stains on the towls. Very old, outdated rooms. You cant control the temp in the room, so they brought us a fan. No ventilation in room. Unpleasant, not very clean, cheap.

Rooms a/c was not working, temperature stayed between 78-80 degrees. Staff did not make us aware of a/c, once we called to inform them of the ac not working staff stated we could use a box fan. Even with the box fan room stayed at 80 degrees.

I would not recommend dealing with this property. If you book pay at time of arrival, this property takes the whole amount of your stay several hours before you get there. They do NOT tell you this. Also, they don’t regulate the heat. The higher the floor, the warmer it is. This will be a hard no from now on.

It is a nice hotel. It is clean and has easy access to public transportation. We really enjoyed the free breakfast. It was a comfortable stay and an affordable option. I would stay there again.

Most holiday inn expresses are about the same but this one needs some major updates. Biggest problem is that there is no temperature control in each room. It's controlled as one unit through the entire building. Was very cold at night when it gets to 40s. Can ask for heater but they didn't have enough for everyone and blankets are still pretty thin too. Walls in rooms peeling/falling apart. Smaller than typical bathrooms. Overall rooms need updating. Lobby/breakfast just typical of hotel chain. Walkable area, kind and helpful staff.

The lobby smelled horrible the entire stay. AC did not work, when I called the front desk they said they would leave a fan at the front desk. Front desk staff nonexistent, would not come out from the back office. Room was small and stuffy. Won't be back

You cannot control the heating nor the air conditioning in the room. It is centrally controlled so if you are hot or you are cold, you cannot adjust the temperature.
