I’m giving 4 stars as the basic amenities in the room were missing- Kleenex, coffee cups were dirty, stirrers were missing. My toilet was broken too. When I called housekeeping, it took them all day to fix things. Food at the restaurants was ok. There are no elevators, parking gets tricky after 7:00pm.

Hotel was very convenient to Death Valley National Park and near some decent sites, with decent dining options. Bed was comfortable and bathroom updated. Pull out sofa was outdated, the WiFi service was terrible, and in room temperature control was erratic. Overall decent stay.

Everything was great, except the beds were not comfortable at all. The sofa bed mattress was too thin, making it super uncomfortable. The king bed was way too soft.

Located in the heart of Death Valley national park. One of the Oasis hotels; don’t confuse it with the Inn of the Death Valley which is a few min away. Easy to find. We stayed on Christmas Day and business as usual. The pre-check in email is not scam. There are 3 dining options. Stay away from the Wild rose tavern unless you miss school lunch, LOL; but the servers are very friendly. We tried all three diners and the recommendations are to avoid the cold sandwiches from the general store; either get the chicken tender set meal at and finish it with a scope of the yummy ice cream; or dine at the 1849 restaurant which you would not be disappointed but ready for pay a bit more. We skipped the buffet meals. We stayed at one of the two-level rooms. No elevator to go up to the second floor so we chose the first floor. The challenge is the poor sound proof: you could hear foot steps from the upper floor, people talking next door/wall or in the hallway. Room facilities are simple. Found some dust on the second shelf under the bathroom sink. While bedding and covers that are clean and comfortable. Pillows are on the softer side. AC is functioning and kept the temperature comfortable. There is a swimming pool with free towels; a tennis court, pickle ball court, and half of a basketball court. There are palm trees scattered around, a water fountain, an outdoor fireplace, and strings of lights at the 1849 restaurant; it’s sounded by mountains, open skies, this is truly a desert paradise.

A good experience.
It was a great place to use as a home base from which to explore Death Valley National Park. Room was clean; staff was friendly and attentive. We visited the pool once at the end of a long day out and it was nice. Breakfast and dinners were fine. The absence of daily housekeeping is no big deal.
