Friendly staff and close to the small and charming downtown. However, the mattress had more slope than horizontal features, the shower was angled in such away that when the hot water arrived a few minutes later, it helped your neck. The linen and towels need a refresh, or better soap. No daily service for towels or room cleaning.

Beautiful clean property.

Really cool historic hotel. Beds very comfy and rooms and property overall very clean. Needed one more night stand but hey not a big deal. Neat place.

Staff was very friendly, nice bar and restaurant on property. Never saw anyone cleaning tables in lobby - they had drink rings on them for several days. The rooms are small and nice but need more outlets. Bathroom room needed curtains or shades for privacy. Room 209 had no hot water so we left a day early. They do have a number to call for help but they need some present in the lobby at least during the day.

For a women in menopause, I need to be able to adjust the air conditioner. I did not have a thermostat in our room. The walls are thin. Between the road noise and other guests coming/going, it was hard to sleep peacefully.

We love the historic hotels snd the Deland Hotel is one of the best. The rooms are cozy. The bar reminds you of a speakeasy. Service is friendly. We stay here every time we are in Deland

My friend and I only stayed one night but the staff was very friendly. We ate at the hotel after walking to downtown deland. Then we had a drink at the bar inside the hotel. The drinks were perfect. The room was super cute and had everything we needed. I can’t wait to come back!
