The ice machine was not out of the way like you normally see, but by the elevator and it dropped ice all night long and was incredibly loud. We came back the first night early by 9:30 and there was no parking left and when we asked where can we park, we were told we had to park across the 4 lane beach road in an unsupervised, unlit parking lot of a closed store. They have a parking lot in the back, but they have it closed down because the pool is closed, but the parking lot is fine, so instead you would rather have your clients park across a busy street in the dark and leave their vehicle and hope they don’t get hit as they cross? I didn’t expect that that from a Hyatt Hotel, we were disappointed with our experience.

Not what I expected
Very disappointed in check-in. Check-in time was listed as 3:00 pm but when we tried to check in at 4:00, there were no rooms available. We had to wait until after 5:00 to check in. There was no microwave in the room, only a tiny mini-fridge and individual coffee maker. The "hot" breakfast was a joke and the "bar/lounge" was a tiny little counter behind the check in counter. The description of this place is very misleading.

There was a bar, but not a bartender. We paid for oceanfront but got Oceanview. We got to see the oceanfront room, but it was terrible. The mold was intolerant. They said Expedia has to refunf the price difference. We also had originally paid for 3 people but ended up with only 2.

It was okay but a little high priced
I had an OK stay, once I got into the room I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to put in the fridge, and the fridge did not work. Every time you flush the toilet, the toilet would make a high-pitched noise lasting up to a couple minutes afterwards. The room definitely could use a better cleaning. My bed was very comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful to the ocean.

Horrible stay at Hyatt Place Daytona Beach Shores.
Hotel was very unorganized. We arrive to get our room three hours after check.In time, and we're told we would have to wait along with several other couples in additional hour and a half to get our room at eight thirty p m. Then they assigned us a room. We went up to it and the maintenance sky was in there, working on the ac and said it was broke, so we'd have to go back downstairs and get a different room. Then we waited more to get a sign to a new room and were given keys that didn't work Came down and got the new keys went back up to the room, and it was very humid. The floor was wet near air conditioner and there was debris on the desk right under the ac.Vent. room did not have hair dryer. Heavy Shower Door was off hinges. Balcony had no chairs. A solid concrete wall instead of a railing, the pool, his under construction and closed off.There is a parking lot in the back.As the oceanfront view from your room and there is absolutely no beach here.It is a seawall. Would highly recommend avoiding this hotel! We will never stay again.

Ok but not great
Granted we came during a hurricane evacuation. But coffee was only during breakfast and not offered in the lobby or water like other hotels we stayed at. Also, false alarms went several times one night but no one said they were false. Fridge in room not cold and no microwave in room either

Great place to stay
Staff was very polite and helpful, price was right, room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was great. I wish the pool and additional parking lot was available but was not repaired from the last hurricane. Other than that, our stay was great.

Check in was simple. Upon getting into our room, it was determined the cable didnt work on the tv. Front desk moved us rooms, but mibmved us from a king bed room to 2 queen beds room. Breakfast was nice and the staff we saw were friendly, but they are super understaffed. The cafe on property was never open for dinner due to staff calling out and theirwas no trained bartender. I would possibly consider returning once the pool and beach access is completed and they have a proper staff for all amenities to be available.

The property states it has a pool and beach access. When we arrived, I was told the pool has been closed for nearly 2 years and I was asked to sign a waiver stating there was no pool, hot tub access. I did so because we were really there for the beach, only to find out the beach access is really after climbing over a half wall into the parking lot next door then walking down to the parking lot’s access. Not only was that disappointing but our room’s floor was wet around the vents causing a mildew smell, and there was no furniture to sit on out on the balcony. Luckily we had chairs with us for the beach so we hauled them up from the car to sit on the room’s balcony since there wasn’t another option. The breakfast was okay, but upset the stomach of the person I was with. Nice view of the beach but that’s really the only positive on this place. I would have spoken to someone at the desk for a refund or some sort of compensation but everytime we were in the lobby the front desk person was MIA. Unfortunate really.
