This property isnt in the best condition anymore. We have stayed several times over the years at this location. It is beginning to show considerable wear and tear. I also found a roach in the bathroom shower this time.😫😫

The lobby and the elevator reeked of marijuana. There were miscreants hanging around the lobby acting like lowlifes when I checked in at 11pm. even though I reserved my room with my new credit card, I was awakened twice at 3:30 AM by the desk because they had my old card on file and I had to come down at 3:30 in the morning to pay the bill rather than settle up at a decent hour. I stay on an average 2-3X annually with this hotel and I see it going downhill rapidly.

Needs real updates
The hotel has clearly had some cosmetic updates but could certainly use some real TLC. Counters and mirrors in bathrooms were new but the vanity itself and other features were old. Motion sensor lights in hallway outside the bathroom were annoying as they woke up others in the room when someone went to the bathroom at night. Lights near the beds had reading lights attached that didn’t work. Outlet on the nightstand was broken and only had USB ports.

Quiet and Restful Stay
I got in a little later than I hoped, so my time with amenities at this property was cut short, but overall, I liked my room. It was very large. Two queen beds a sofa area and almost kitchenette area under the built-in microwave. That came in handy to heat up food I brought for dinner. The bed was very comfortable, the tv and wifi worked well. Bathroom was very clean, and the shower had adequate water pressure. I did not find a Bible in any of the drawers, which would have been nice.

The staff was very nice. Check in was super easy and fast. It was also very clean. Breakfast was good, especially the strawberry waffles. We will definitely stay here again when we go to Springfield.

Bedbugs
When I arrived to the hotel I immediately did a bedbug check and didn’t see any. Then I wake up to a bedbug crawling on my pillow by my face. Immediately went to front desk with a photo for proof and the staff was rude and didn’t believe me. I guess next time, which I hope there will never be, I will bring the live bedbug that was almost on my face to the front desk. Maybe I’d at least get some kind of refund. I have attached the photo with this review.
