Place is a dump!
This place is a dump! Run down and has not been updated in decades. Some of the people we saw staying there were unsavory, not sure if they rent rooms to homeless but did not feel safe.

Needs major improvements
Run-down, tired hotel in need of a major upgrade. Key cards stop working every day and need to be reset at front desk. Mattresses are extremely old and uncomfortable. Much nicer hotels at similar prices in the area

It is the only hotel in the harbor and next to the nature center, jetty and baby beach. A lot of new construction is going on now making it harder to get around

The staff was extremely kind and generous. There was someone smoking on the balony below us so the smoke came into our unit. The staff resolved it within a few hours. It would have been nice to have it resolved at our first request but no worries, the staff is great. The carpets need to be replaced, they are worn out and look dirty. It was a great space with a steller view. We would stay here again.

I love this gem of a classic beach hotel, our balcony was awesome to relax on and the location was excellent to the beach and tons of shopping and dining. So sad they'll be tearing it down next year for something super swanky that we won't be able to afford.

The lady from the front desk was knocking hard on our door at 1 AM just to ask if the purse she found was mine. Couldn’t she have just kept the purse at the front desk and wait for someone to claim it? I do not see the point of knocking at 1 in the freaking morning, disturbing people’s sleep. I think her name is Lydia, if I remember correctly.
