Arrived and found construction materials everywhere, side walks blocked and trashed piled around the back door. Construction guy was setup in the back parking drinking beer and grilling watching everyone having to drive and park around his mess. Checked in and went to our room around 4pm, soon as we walked in the room was humid and smelled like dirt. Checked the thermostat and it was set on 73, but the room was showing to be 80. Talked to the front desk and they had maintenance check it out. The a/c compressor was out and couldn’t be fixed. All other rooms were booked and their only solution was a small discount on the room on a 100 degree day. We had to find another hotel room last minute

The water comes out so hot that you cannot take a decent shower. You cannot fix it with the handles. This happens in the morning only. Also, the hotel charged me an additional $100.00 deposit "that I would get back". I left the hotel in May 17. Today is May 22 and I haven't received it back yet.

The property itself was ok. All handicapped parking is in the back of the hotel and not by a door. You have to use the Motel 6/Comfort Inn driveway to get to hotel, unfortunately there is nothing that tells you that. Circled the block 5 times and then called hotel.

The water at the bathroom sink barely ran. Breakfast was highly disappointing. We had to ask twice for fresh towels because we needed to get out early. The area was very unsafe with cops present.

For starters, my husband and I are senior citizens, and he is a retired veteran and disabled. When I got to the property, the girl behind the desk was not very welcoming. She accused me of giving her attitude. I told her I am not giving attitude. We are not familiar with the Dallas area, and my GPS was making us tour the area. I explained that we are very tired and frustrated from the drive. She could not understand that. Before arriving, I called the hotel to see how far they were from SMU campus (mind you, I was checking distance before booking a room), that girl (another one) kept asking me where I was located. I told her that it does not matter where I am, I just want to know the actual distance from the hotel to the SMU campus. Finally, she decided to help. Also, the lounge area outside by the pool has a lot to be desired. The cushions had burn marks, and were dirty, people throwing beer cans and leaving bottle caps on the lounge area. The girls at the front desk are not welcoming or accommodating. Also, the toilet seat was loose, and there looked like mold in the rim of the floor in the shower. Also, breakfast is served only at 7 a.m. When it comes to events like graduation, it should be more accommodating. I am a graduate, and it would have been nice to take all of the graduates and families a little more accommodating when it comes to these events, because all graduates have to be on campus by 7:30 a.m. A lot of people travel long distances.

The hotel inside was very clean and kept. It was nice. The ice machine on our floor didn't work, but we were able to vet ice on another floor so no biggie. Staff was very nice and friendly. Breakfast was good, just wished the oatmeal was already made and not a carton of oats on the counter I have to make myself. All in all, was a good place to stay and would definitely stay here again. The room was just right....clean, a/c is immaculate!!!
