Really great boutique hotel in Cusco. It’s on a fairly busy street but manages to be very quiet. The staff were incredible. We booked several nights before our Salkantay trek and one night afterwards . We were able to leave our luggage while we were out hiking and upon return the staff booked us into the same room as previously and had our bag waiting there for us. Fresh flowers on the tables in the public spaces, filtered water and hot tea at the buffet made our stay so very comfortable.

Good hotel with character in Cusco
Great hotel - highlights were the extremely friendly and efficient reception staff, a couple of whom were so attentive. Rooms were large and well appointed. Only slight negative was the breakfast - there could have been a better selection of food, and restaurant staff could have been more attentive. Overall though, a good place to stay in Cusco.

Room was simply gorgeous. Service was excellent. They should have a bigger, more clear signage in the front, because our driver couldn't find it at first and had to go around the block, as the street where it's located is one lane/one way, and no space for a car to stop. Cars behind us were not patient or forgiving.

Lovely boutique hotel. The check-in was easy and fast. The staff are welcoming and very friendly. The room is decent size and very clean. The hotel’s courtyard was a plus…very serene! They provided free coca tea and breakfast. The location is about 8 minute walk to the town plaza!

Definitely recommend this place. Be prepared to feel the burn as the hotel sits high in the city. Loved the main atrium with the plum tree in the middle. breakfast wast amazing, just place your specialty coffee and eggs made to order. Thanks to the friendly staff, our stay was memorable.

Tambo del Arriero far exceeded our expectations. The staff was above and beyond. They were always very kind and helpful. The room we stayed in was extremely spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed and more. As a tall person traveling in Peru, this was the only (out of 4) accommodation that had beds long enough to accomodate a person 6'3 tall. We were in the family suite and in addition to the shower, it also had a tub jacuzzi! The location is a couple blocks from the main square but very walkable. In fact, being a few blocks from the downtown square significantly cut down on the noise from all the happenings downtown.

Really nice stay! We stayed in the deluxe room, 108, and it was lovely. Pros: I love the traditional touches, like carved benches and art. And there was also a nice modern tiled tub and shower. Reception was very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations. Cons: the key sticks in the lock, the tub jets didn't work, the shower floor floods, and the thick bed comforter was way too hot, reception was dark and empty when we left at 4:30am, the drinkable water pitcher was NOT drinkable (cloudy and gross), the signage to the hotel is small (we passed it in our taxi and had to turn around).
