I had to bring my cat and dog on this trip and I found the individual Cat & Dog treat bags a very nice touch. Especially as the next day we stayed at a 5-star hotel and there was nothing like that. The room was quiet, clean and well organized. The Sandman Hotel Cranbrook will be where I stay when I am next in that area : )

There isnt much unique about a dated property. On the plus side, the room was comfortable and clean. Staff were pleasant. On the less plus, just meh. Limited room amenities, older facility that is clearly getting to the point of needing some love. A decent coffee maker in the room versus the crummy 1970's drip-o-lator would make me feel better about shelling out a premium rate for the room.

Not until after I checked in was I told maid service was every second day. The pool was not in service and the room was very dated. They really need to renovate the rooms. For the price I will not be staying there again.
