Nice hotel. Great snorkling in front. Food was very good and incorporated local flavors. The only downside was figuring out how the all inclusive meals worked. It wasn't until the last night that we were told dinner alternated resteraunts.

We stayed here about three years ago, and the property was immaculate. Everything was spotless and beautifully maintained. However, the property’s upkeep has deteriorated significantly since then. The bathroom tiles are missing, and the pool is dirty. It doesn’t feel the same quality as when we first stayed here.

The staff here was beyond amazing, and I could not give them a rating higher than five stars or I would!! Everyone was extremely helpful and yet not intrusive. Treated us like kings!

The Westin is a very nice hotel. Clean and quiet we walked across the street and had the most amazing grilled lobster and key lime pie. Beach small but beautiful water and snorkelling. No entertainment as it’s a hotel. Food options limited ( again it’s a hotel ) but the food we did eat was good. Only a 10 minute drive from downtown by taxi.

Beautiful place!

Overall it was great - the staff was excellent, especially Vicki (at the pool), Facundo (bar and pool), Jorge (waiter at breakfast). However, they should plan better for high season - there was a literal fight over beach chairs because they did not supply enough for all the guests. You had to go down between 6-7am to reserve a beach/pool chair (which should not be allowed). If the guest is not using the chair, it should be available for others to use. The food at Cuzamil restaurant was not good. My pasta was inedible, dry and without flavor. They never notified us that we needed reservations and many guests were trying to get dinner and were not able to. We made a reservation with the front desk and when we arrived for our reservation time, they did not have it! They Maitre'D, Jorge, was great and was able to accommodate us fortunately. Again, the staff is excellent however the company needs to make some adjustments for the type of service people expect out of a Westin.

My Wife Joella and I stayed at the Westin in 2023, same dates, December 25, through December 31. We were extremely pleased with that stay and could not wait to come back. We have recommended the Westin to everyone who inquired. However, our recent stay at the Westin we were both extremely disappointed with the overall experience. I will name a few disappointments. Our lunch and dinner experience at the Westin was terrible. We ate Christmas dinner and lunch the next day and was very bad. Dry, overcooked, no taste. Appeared to be "slapped" together. We ended up going out for lunch and Dinner the rest of our stay. The breakfast bar was ok. We purchased the All Inclusive package this time and again, disappointed with the quality of the drinks, they seemed watered down. Not certain why the towel cards were for at the pool? The staff was almost militant about returning the towels. Disappointed in the lack of pool chairs and also the lack of respect by the adults with their numerous kids running and splashing around. Also disappointed with the quality of the guests. Our last day, a mature couple along with their teenage children were yelling in front of staff, management and guests, vulgar, insulting, personal slurs at some of the guests for "stealing their pool chairs" Seriously? Not what we expected for a high end resort. We are comfortable with traveling back to Cozumel, however, I would not recommend the Westin to anyone. Robert Satkovich

Room was not cleaned more than a couple times during our 6 day stay. Beach chairs were not available for everyone promoting actual verbal altercations between guests that the resort did nothing about. Beach towels required a card each time and they never had towels.

Overall we were very disappointed in the resort. There was poor communication, the room phone was broken, the shower was not good and the staff was less than friendly. The food was low grade and there were not enough pool/beach chairs or pool towels for guests. We really wanted to love it here as I am a Marriott frequent traveler. Unfortunately it was not a great experience and we will not be back.
