If you like peace and quiet away from the cruise ships and town this is your place. This was our third visit in three years and still very pleased with our stay. The staff is wonderful, the resort is very clean and the rooms are nice. Our only complaint is that it might be time to upgrade the mattresses - at least in our reef room. A bit worn and uncomfortable. Everything else was great. An added bonus is that the staff does not turn over. Same faces at the bars and restaurants which means Intercontinental must treat them well. I’m sure tips help out too. I would highly recommend this resort and the island.

Free Bicycle Use was great with nearby safe bike trail to town. Disappointed they charged for snorkel gear. Prices for food were higher than expected compared to other nearby eateries.

Service at the two on-site restaurants was horrible. Food was ok but they could not get any orders correct. Bring lots of cash because they charge you for everything. Food was crazy expensive as well. Ordered oysters and they came out the size of peas. Absolutely the worst meal we had. Beach service was non existent. Do not rent a car there. They lied to us about the cost and charged my cc three times more than we agreed.For a five star resort this should have been way better than we experienced.

It is a lovely property with great staff. The restaurants were excellent. However, the property is aging, and it shows in several areas. We were in room 1102, and the Fabrick chairs were severely stained, and the fence outside needed staining or painting. Floor tiles are darker in some areas that might need cleaning or might be just worn.

This was our 2nd stay. We’ve been to Cozumel 5 times and we decided this was the place to stay for us. We don’t need activities and noise or over zealous vacationers sharing our time for relaxing. The staff is amazingly courteous, helpful and friendly. The oceanfront beckons from every room. Can’t wait to return!

The hotel is absolutely a dream! One of the best I’ve stayed at, it’s a shame they have such a terrible staff at the front desk when you I checked in, completely unfriendly and rude, they shouldn’t be working at this high category resorts
