For starters, the room wasn’t ready. Which is fine but once in the room, it was smaller than I expected based off their pictures. The sink knobs were loose and mildewy underneath them. The room was ok but in a “VIP” ocean view, I expected more. We’re night owls too and once we can in around 3/4am the tv only had 1 English channel that had subtitles in the middle of the screen. We were offered a few perks for going to a timeshare presentation when we arrived but declined until later. We did make a reservation on our first day there for the very next day at the spa to get a pedicure. We were told that 10am wouldn’t work because we’d have to go 1 at a time but at 2pm we could go together. We took the 2pm slot and figured we could see what the resort offered the first full day, which was minimal. We got to the spa at 1:50pm and was told (by the same woman that booked us) we didn’t make a reservation for today and she never seen us before. Now her other coworkers were confused and getting ready to leave. We asked could we see the book and one of the other workers showed us. We looked at the days reservations and our 2pm reservation was blotted out with white out! We went to the front desk to complain and the offered us a couple of massages at the same spa we just left for free but we declined. From there we just ventured into Cozumel daily or Playa del Carmen and enjoyed the amenities of the location. Which was great!! Avoid the Grand Park but go enjoy Cozumel!

Facility is not bad at all but food quality is very poor and bars are only stocked with a limited amount of cheap options. Don’t waste your time here unless you plan to eat elsewhere every meal.

We have been several times and we like the hotel, but every year we have to fight to get a room we like, even when we request a certain room or area ahead of time. This year they put us in a room for 2 days , then we had to move for the last 5 to the room we wanted. Very inconvenient, since you have to check out at noon and wait til 3:00 for your room

Clean property, friendly staff. Good enough food, but nothing exceptionnal. Walls are paperthin so you hear what happens in the hallway but everything is quiet after 10pm, so it wasn't a big deal. Would consider going back.

Property is older! Grounds and public areas are quite beautiful! Rooms were clean however we had limited hot water most of the week. Food service was the biggest issue, food was cool when served, same table served at different times. Pools gave lots of options for participation or quiet areA! Beach was small but adequate! Handy to walk to the market or the boat terminal for shopping

No enough elevators working in our building, only one worked. The sidewalks are very hard to walk, uneven and rocks sticking up which trips people. Everything else was great except for those 2 major issues. Snorkeling was fantastic, the beach was crowded and not enough chairs for guests.

The Grand Park Royale has a lot to offer with a very good staff and scenic location. The restaurant, pool and activity staff were excellent. The area surrounding caters to the port hours with stores and restaurants closing relatively early. Facility Maintenance needs to improve with hot water problems two of the days that we were there, once for 24 hours and a pipe breaking. Two elevators were not operation the whole time there. Despite the inconvenience and it was a holiday weekend, the staff made our trip enjoyable. Management should work on the property issue.

Having three restaurants on site was helpful. However you certainly need reservations, we were told by the one of the hosts it would be 20 min. One hour and 20 min. My sister in law went to see what was going on. They all of a sudden they found a table. They hadn’t filled the salad for a few hours hadn’t taken our order fo sometime. Just awful service and food was cold. Very very poor service by everyone in the restaurant.
