Service can be hit or miss—some staff members are great, while others are not so friendly. Majority at the front desk have a little attitude. Internet didn’t work for a few days, coffee maker broken and the food is all inclusive food so don’t have high expectations. Be prepared to tip, as everyone seems to expect it, so it’s good to have some change on hand. I personally don’t mind tipping, but I know some people assume it’s already included. I paid extra for the “Elite” upgrade, and it was NOT worth it! Save your money and just book a regular ocean-view room. I paid almost $1,000 extra and was initially given a partial ocean view. They did move me the next day, but only after speaking with multiple people at the front desk. The Elite upgrade does not offer much value—you still check in and check out at the same place, have access to the same restaurants, and the pool feels like a basic YMCA pool with cabanas. The way they market it as a premium experience is completely misleading. There is nothing special about the Elite package! No nightlife, On the positive side, the hotel is relatively new, the rooms are clean, and while the beach was too rough to enjoy, the pools were a good alternative (VERY BASIC POOLS) Elite pool extremely boring. However, if you’re considering upgrading to Elite, I’d strongly advise against it!

I like how clean the property was. The restrooms were always clean and the staff were always making sure every areas was safe. We had the jr. suite and it was very comfortable. We were very dissatisfied with entertainment options they had. Compared to other all inclusive, this Hotel lacked creativity and talent. The shows that they did have, were just okay but not amazing. On the Latin Night, they had technical difficulties. The entertainment crew did not go out of their way to include everyone. As a Mexican myself, the food was just okay but not delicious. Their food options was not really authentic, they didn't have authentic Mexican drinks such as horchata, lemonade etc. We ate really well but comparing to other resorts we have been too, this Hotel did not go above and beyond. The service was not bad but it was also not the best. Idk if its because its fairly new, but I feel staff could've been more attentive. When we booked with this Hotel, they included the transportation but the lack of communication they had made us almost miss our shuttle. I would not stay in this Hotel again. If this is your first time going to cancun and you haven't been to any other resort you will probably give it a 7-8/10. I've been to multiple resorts and i rate this Hotel a 3/10

Property was very nice but the marble floors were challenging when wet or damp. Many slips and wife fell coming out of shower. Yes towel on floor slid. Again our view was awesome and kept Ed very well during our stay. Entertainment off site more for younger crowds. Check in did not give an overview of accommodations well. Did not know what our level elite meant when doing things. Had to rely only on their app. Drinks lacked alcohol and had plenty of sugar or sweeteners. Elite yes better alcohol but to enjoy it had to be straight and you get mixer on side. Again nice time and thanks.

I had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The service was amazing, the staff was friendly, and everything was so well taken care of. It truly felt like a relaxing and welcoming place. That being said, I did notice a lack of diversity in the overall atmosphere. After chatting with some employees, I learned that the hotel was historically not open to people of color until recently, which was honestly disappointing to hear. While my experience was still great, I do think there’s an opportunity for the hotel to be more inclusive—whether through more entertainment or cultural representation. I’d love to come back in the future and see those positive changes because this place has so much potential to be even better!

Stayed at Riu Kukulkan in CanCun! The staff is friendly and helpful. The Resort is modern and updated. They kept it very clean. The food especially the Elite Club Restaurant is exceptionally good. The views are astonishing! The pools are clean and well maintained. The drinks keep coming! Can’t wait to go back!

This is my second year in this hotel and let me tell you it changed , still super clean ,amazing service just the food went bad ...they have 5 specialized restaurants and the one that is still great is the asian ( ask for osorio ) the rest are average at best .. hopefully they will fix the food as this place can be amazing

Facility was very clean, property updated, comfortable beds, staff were all helpful and amazing, food selection was amazing, entertainment was great, beach was well kept up, location of resort was close to shopping- would highly recommend staying at this resort!
