The hotel was okay. Staff was friendly. Room didn't smell so great. It was a nice place to rest our heads after exploring all day. The biggest issue is that the room we reserved was a multiple bed family suite that was listed as a queen and two double beds. It ended up being 3 double beds. I brought this to the staff's attention, and they kindly said "oh, okay" and assured me that it was indeed a queen. Um nope, definitely not a queen! I love my husband, but I enjoy being able to roll over at night without falling out of bed. This was certainly a double bed and we would not have booked this room if we had know it was three doubles.

Great place. Good breakfast. Nice quiet rooms but no elevator. No rooms on bottom level with 2 queen beds. Need to have rooms on bottom level for people with bad knees.

Cortez is really nice!
Very nice stay in an updated room. Check in was very pleasant. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and appeared to be relatively new. I would have given a higher review except for the slightly run down neighborhood. The restaurant next dor (Fiesta Mexicana) was fantastic!!

No closet or clothes hangars. No hooks in very, very small bathroom. Small TV a long distance from bed. Tile broken in bathroom floor leaving hole with sharp edge that could cut your foot. No luggage rack or place to open suitcases. Clean. Bed was comfy

We reserved a King Suite.....it was a weeknight, and what we got was not worth the price, at all. Rm 135. Smallest room I was ever in. Desk against the wall, 1 chair, freestanding sink in the room, jutted out to the desk side. Refridg on the other side of the sink, with a small space to walk in-between to the bathroom. Scant room on each side of the bed to get in. Room was clean, carpeted. We were tired from a long day, parking lot was full, so we figured a room change wasn't in the cards. So very disappointed in the room....it was next to the housekeeping room so we wondered if our room was once a housekeeping room also. Breakfast was good, pleasant breakfast room. Waffles, powdered eggs, biscuits and gravy. Spend your money elsewhere, unless you see the room first.

It was great on the inside, renovated and nice. Staff were great and the breakfast was pretty good. When we arrived people were picnicking and leaving trash everywhere outside. Seemed like a sh*t show and next morning no one had cleaned up after themselves.

Room was clean and decent size. Breakfast had multiple options and good seating. Rooms not very soundproof. Heard a bit of door slamming late one of our nights there. But generally a good affordable option.
