Tired rooms. They need repairs and some refurbishment. Restaurant was disappointing even with the 15% discount. Cold chips served with a hot but dry chicken schnitzel.

This place was clean and very spacious. Walkable to good eateries including its own bistro. Can walk into town . Staff were very friendly. Couldve done with a microwave . But was very quiet room .

This property is very run down and in need of refurbishment. The meal we had at the restaurant wasn’t the best. The chips tasted like they had been reheated and the frozen vegetables were only luke warm. We received a free drink and 15% off the meal.

Location, reception and housekeeping staff, cleanliness, safety and security are all excellent. I booked a cheap room and it was basic but had everything I needed for a one-night stay and was scrupulously clean. The bed was comfy, the bedding high quality, great reverse cycle air conditioning and as a lone female traveller I felt very safe and secure. Thankyou Opal Inn!

The website stated you could check in at 2pm. We arrived at 2 and were greeted at the door by staff and was told they were closed until 3. I was also told to go along to the Bar nearby and they would help me. I was told by the bar staff ‘I don’t know why they do this as we have no idea what goes on’. NOT HAPPY. If I had not already paid, I would have gone elsewhere. How do you expect to get decent ratings when this is how you treat customers. Also, there was no cutlery or plates. I definitely would NOT recommend your motel.
