My best assessment would be ā€œlipstick on a pigā€. This was an old Days Inn that was somewhat updated. It was old but we made the best of it. The bathroom was really cramped but not much can be done at this stage. The beds were comfortable. There was a refrigerator and a microwave. The breakfast was really disappointing as there was basically cereal and some bagels or toast and some muffins. Nothing hot, no fresh fruits. Oh, no coffee in the room. Couldnā€™t seem to find any news or weather channels on the tv, just apps and you could use your personal Netflix account. If Iā€™m in the area again Iā€™m pretty sure Iā€™ll keep driving.

I play drums in a band called ELMOZ FIRE. We were playing at Geneva on the Lake for Thunder on the Strip and just about every cottage and room was sold out. We chose the Conneaut Wyndham Days Inn because it's only a half hr drive from the Swiss Chalet. My wife is a singer in the band and we opted to stay here. It was rated 2 stars. After our two night, three day stay we couldn't figure out why. Upon arriving, the desk clerk was extremely polite and welcoming. It was a cool night for July and we needed extra blankets. We called the front desk and the blankets arrived within minutes. The surrounding area was enveloped by woods, quiet, serene and peaceful. The room was clean, and the Days Inn offered a FREE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. Being musicians, we slept through that. I'm sure Elmoz Fire will performing at Geneva on The Lake in 2025. I assure you were will be staying here again. I would love to add pics, but that field isn't working.

As others said the lock mechanism on the rear door was broken and unsecured. The rooms window was also unlocked when I arrived. The AC in the room was leaking in the floor, large soaked area of carpet, mildew growing inside the AC. Fridge did not work at all. Bathroom was dirty, found BBs in the tub, gross stains on the walls, no exhaust fan. Headboard was falling apart. I slept on top of the covers and left asap the next morning. Did not feel safe in this room at all! Couldnā€™t get coffee on the way out either as the pots were all empty.

This is a once beautiful property that is in need of serious attention. Mattresses, chairs, toilet seats need to be replaced. Staff was great; Days Inn has gone downhill since Wyndham took over, in my opinion. Attitude starts at the top.
