River Valley La Grange
Overall, the hotel was a nice place to stay if you’re just looking to pass through and spend the night where you’ll have a reasonably clean room with decent amenities like mini refrigerator, microwave TV, etc. We were, however, disappointed that no ice machines on the property were functioning, which made it Difficult if we wanted to have a drink or something like that in our room. Washing machines we’re not functioning as well if you’re gonna be there long enough to do laundry.

The River Valley Motor Inn in La Grange, Texas, is a safe and quiet stay. The location has easy parking and shopping and dining options nearby. I recommend the River Valley cafe for breakfast! The staff was also super friendly and helpful. I'd love to give it five stars, but the sink and bathroom weren't as clean as they could've been. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Stayed 4 days. Never changed linens. Musty smelling room. Bath stopper did not work. Called and they brought a rubber stopper. Bath tub had rust around the drain. Pillows stunk. Floor was dirty.

There was a random 6ft board/plank leaning against a wall In my room…. Hair on the toilet seat…. Dust bunnys on the pillows… Back mold in the shower….. And the water smells like rotten eggs

Room was reasonable for the price charged. Biggest issue was the controls on the ac unit were broken, could increase the set temp but there was no decrease button. Lighting in the room was very dim to the point that it was almost impossible to read and could never get a Wifi connection. Had to use unsecured signal from neighboring car dealer.

The heater blower in our room started to squeal loudly, management instantly gave us another room. Owners of motel did an excellent job of taking care of us and we will be back.

The furnishings were nice and the location was convenient. Parking was well lit and I felt secure. The WIFI was down. The phone service to the front desk was down. We needed a down stairs room and there was no way to communicate our needs for that prior to booking. We had a large group meeting in LaGrange and many booked elsewhere because of the communication issue. They did not clean the rooms or make up the rooms day to day so we had to use the same towels over and over. The ice machine was broken and the floors were filthy. I wear white socks and in 2 minutes after my shoes were off the soles of my socks were black with dirt, they never mop the floors...never. The desk clerk was nice if you could find her. If you do not mind those issues you will probably enjoy staying there.
