The room was rather dusty. Visible spider webs, dust. Lobby had a very strong smell, not sure what it was, but hits you as soon as you walk in. Breakfast was ok. The reviews stars of excellent on Hotels.com’s site is a fraud. The price of the room per night of $200 for what you get was VERY disheartening. Holiday Inn Express needs to do better.

We checked in at midnight between our son's soccer games on a road trip. We had considered staying in Deleware but couldn't settle on a place. We drove the few miles out towards I 71. I wanted to be closer to Alum Creek state park which is nice place to spend a couple of hours if you have time The staff was friendly, the rooms were good.

The new desk clerk was welcoming, but he had no idea where to find light bulb to replace the one that wasn’t working at bedside. The bath tub had two obvious defects in the floor. The bathtub didn’t drain well after the second shower. The property was clean. The staff was great. The breakfast was diverse and tasty. I especially appreciated the turkey sausage and egg whites. A good stay.

Nice location with s couple hiccups
It was clean and well appointed. The location just off the main road at I-71 was currently under construction. At check in my credit card was taken for incidentals and charged $50 which I didn't purchase and I wasn't made aware of. Its been +24 hrs and the charge hasn't been reversed. I plan on contacting them on the first business day. business day

Best part of the stay was the morning breakfast which was much better then most hotels. Housekeepers rarely show up but front desk staff get you anything you need.
