This hotel is amazing!!! The staff is top notch, so friendly and so accommodating. They went way above and beyond for us. The river view is perfect. The thought that went into converting this old mill into the hotel is fantastic!!! Do not hesitate to stay here. We will be back for sure.

Perfect!

Absolutely wonderful experience. The building and grounds are beautiful and well preserved. Breakfast was included and had everything we hoped for. We had a corner room with a river view and it was such a pleasant experience to wake up to such an awesome view. The hotel is located right on the river walk which was very convenient for morning and evening walks/jogs. I also loved its location because it was just outside of all of the noisy parts of the river walk where all of the tourists were. Will definitely stay here again and again.

Charming place right on the board walk. Staff was extremely gracious and the history was so cool. We were there for military activities and very accommodating. Will stay again if we find ourselves in Columbus

The hotel is wonderful. My husband, my dog, and I have stayed there several times. This visit, the room was clean. We had a nice view of the river. The carpet, however. was horribly dirty. It felt awful to the touch. I reported the problem when checking out. The woman didn’t write anything down, so I doubt anything will be done.

Hotel is cute. Very clean and quiet. In retrospect I wish we had kept our reservation at the AC in uptown. But reserving through hotels.com meant we couldn’t change hotels. City Mills is somewhat out of the way and requires a drive to get to uptown. I would have preferred being able to walk out of the hotel and head to restaurants, etc. But that’s our fault. Must order room service by 11 each day, so we couldn’t have the room cleaned one of the days and I hate coming back to a messy room with full trash cans. They did bring us fresh towels and emptied our trash cans since the room was not serviced. The breakfasts are hit or miss. They don’t supply enough food to last til 10 a.m. so when it runs out, it’s just gone and they won’t replenish it. When we asked about it at 930, we were told, “people don’t care and just eat it all up”. Well, yeah. It’s not their job to decrease their intake not knowing the food will not be replenished. We thought that response from the hotel employee was clueless and quite ridiculous.

City Mills was perfect in every way, not a single way I could knock it. It's a great example of a boutique hotel that operates with the efficiency and high standard (if not higher than) of a 4 or 5 star franchise hotel. When I return to Columbus, my choice will be City Mills, without a doubt. The aesthetic is so cool, as are the views overlooking the Chattahooche; if you can afford to do the corner room, do it, it's worth it for the views! The corner rooom also felt way bigger, because of the extra windows.
