Friendly Staff...Needs a thorough cleaning
Let me start by saying the front desk staff here is always 100%. They are very kind and open to helping when they can.
My partner and myself have stayed at this location a few times on the last 6 years (under his name and under mine ) and I'm sad to say it seems to have gone downhill in the last few years. We tried another hotel across the street last year and opted to give this one another shot this year due to the full kitchen. (We come into town for Lost Lands and prefer to have the option to cook for ourselves)
This most recent stay was not great. Unfortunately the room was very very damp and had a strong musty odor coming from the carpet, very similar to an old sock, which we assumed was due to the air conditioner and general lack of ventilation for the room.
We did ask the front desk if they happen to have any of those odor absorbing gel buckets or moisture removers and they did happily provide a dehumidifier to help us.
We did have to pick up a room spray while we were grabbing groceries. Which helped make the room tolerable while we were there.
The overall cleanliness of this location has gotten worse. This stay for us did have is cleaning kitchen surfaces and dishes before use.
This hotel just needs a deep thorough cleaning and it would be 10x better, to be honest. The walls are very dirty, there is just dirt/grime build up in cracks and crevices. Almost every surface seems to have a film on it. Anything that circulates air has significant dust buildup.
