Overall, our stay was very nice. Unfortunately our room wasn’t available until a half hour past check in. Also, the bellhop told us that no reservations were needed for their upscale dining, but that was not the case. When we went to the restaurant, they said no reservation no seating. I was a little alarmed by this, and the fact that the hostess didn’t even check to see if anything was available was unpleasant. Looking into the restaurant, there was many seats available at the 530 time frame that we arrived. The beauty of the resort and surrounding area made these inconveniences not so bad.

I was disappointed that ice was not available. Our room had an ice bucket, but when I searched the facility, no ice dispenser found. I went to the front desk to ask where I could find a dispenser and was told I could only ger ice through room service. The guy was kind of an ass about it.

Perched at 6,400 ft, this Colorado Springs retreat isn’t for the faint of lungs—but conquer the climb, and you’re richly rewarded. The altitude may test your body, but the attitude of the place—and its people—is pure soul therapy. The rooms are spacious enough to fake a Zoom call convincingly. The bathrooms? Large enough for a full-blown makeup tutorial—lighting included for your Insta reel. One suspects the Kissing Camels (yes, the rock formation) might peek in for contouring tips. The iconic red rocks feel so close you could serenade them. The main attraction is just 3 minutes away (or a dramatic hop-skip-lunge, if you insist). On clear nights, stargazing with the SkyView app is an added delight. Location-wise, it’s perfect: Manitou Springs and Pike’s Peak are just 15 minutes away, as are restaurants and diversions—should you crave enchiladas over enlightenment. Two queen beds easily housed our quartet, and yoga gear was provided for those inclined to greet the sun—or nap near it. The spa and yoga sessions we skipped, drawn outdoors by Colorado’s natural charm. The resort itself? Infinity pool, hot tub, sauna, gym, and a calm that makes meditation seem redundant. The staff? There is absolutely nothing that we didn’t love about our stay at GOG Resort. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was relaxing and spacious. If I had to pick one thing that I didn’t like, it would be the difficulty in determining room service and dining options without calling or appearing in person. With dietary restrictions, it would great to have access to an online menu that lists options for the different food restrictions. I was instructed by management to ask restaurant staff for a list of options. The staff member that I asked was new and was unsure of what options were available. I really dislike drawing a lot of attention from other diners when multiple staff members have to come over and discuss my gluten allergy. So, I opted to skip dinner altogether and ordered from DoorDash instead. I hope GOG makes this process easier for other customers with food allergies.

Had an amazing time celebrating my birthday with my family . Top of the line gym equipment, stunning infinity pool, immaculately maintained grounds, very warm and welcoming and welcoming staff. Huge shoutout to the Kissing Camel restaurant for safely accommodating my teen son who has multiple severe food allergies. Sumptuous dinner. Will definitely be coming back in the near future.

Amazing views, big room, great shower. The A/C is automated and you have to manually adjust it at various points throughout the day to keep it cool (it was hot and annoying). Gym was low quality and I expected more due to it being touted as a “Strata” gym.
