Staff was welcoming and supportive. They went out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Vanesa and Julie at the front desk, Matt the bellman / porter to Lindsey in the bar were wonderful. The charm of the Cliff House must be experienced if your in the area.

Sayed two nights mid week in early September to celebrate our 39th anniversary. Pleasantly surprised with an upgrade. Loved our room. Loved the old fashioned decor with modern amenities. I wished we could have stayed another night. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Valets friendly , helpful and fast. We ate dinner in the adjacent bar. Food was good for pub fare. We had a problem getting the hot water to turn on (and stay on in the shower). Called front desk and within 8 minutes had 2 maintenance workers at our door who fixed the problem. We did not try the dining room.

The room was simply filthy. The carpet was very dirty and old. There were 2 chairs that had stains that were so bad we had to put towels on them to sit. Would never stay there again. Sad to say but I was wishing my vacation away just to be out of there.

Perfect location and we just happened to be there for the 150th anniversary! Enjoyed the history. Wish we had known about the festivities ahead of time so We could have taken better advantage. Excellent breakfast.

Manitou Springs is definitely a tourist town. The Cliff House definitely has historic charm. The room just felt and looked dirty. The carpeting is old and stained. The fabric on the chair in the room was so soiled, I’m not sure I’d sit on it. The bathroom was adequate and the bed was fine. There are also heaving fabric drapes and although they fit the charm - I’m certain we’re full of dust and grime.

I was a little hesitant to stay at this hotel because the age of the building but they have taken great care and love for their hotel. My partner and I stayed in a basic room that reminded me of staying at my aunts house, this place feels like home. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean, AC works well and the water stays hot. The restaurant on site is also quite tasty. And the best part of this hotel is the location. We were walking distance to all restaurants and cute little mom n pop shops. We can’t wait to stay here again.
