Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Hotels offers 316 air-conditioned accommodations with safes and complimentary bottled water. Rooms open to balconies or patios. Beds feature premium bedding. Televisions come with premium cable channels. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations, bathrobes, and hair dryers.

Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. Business-friendly amenities include desks and desk chairs, as well as phones; free local calls are provided (restrictions may apply). The spa is open daily. Guests under 16 years old are not allowed in the spa.

Simply walk outside to feel the sun on your face at the white sand beach. Summer fun is a breeze at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Hotels, where you can play a round of golf at the golf course, cool off in one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools, and enjoy a treatment at the full-service spa.

The outdoor pool is amazing and heated to about 89 degrees so that it feels like a warm bath. The building and surrounding area are gorgeous and peaceful. The staff were all pleasant. The room was clean but the mattresses were broken down and in need of replacement. The TV didn’t offer streaming service login (so local channels only.) The price through Expedia booked weeks in advance was NOT a good deal. In the end, I paid about $150 more than a last-minute booking for the same room (including $25 to park my own car, and no breakfast). Overall it was lovely and I will definitely go again, but book directly and at the last minute!

Really nice property, clean room and really friendly and helpful staff! No pool towels at the pool and called housekeeping but no towels after an hour. Elevations restaurant was really good and they gave my son a complimentary dessert for his birthday!

The room we stayed in is not an Excellent Condition. Unless you use the whole property, the price isn't worth it. You can get a much nicer room at half the price by going to a 4 star hotel.

Our stay was not great. The check in staff notified us that dinner would be served until 9pm. When I called to request dinner before 9pm, I was told they would be closing. They took my order and I was told they would let me know when my food was ready. After some time had passed I called the front desk and they told me my food had been ready and it’s a bit cold. For a fee, they offered to deliver our food to our room. The shower does not drain so you are taking a shower in a puddle. The lighting was terrible in the rooms. And turning on the thermostat was a challenge as someone has flipped the completely unit off. We found out how to turn it back on to warm up our room. Overall, our stay was not great and I would not recommend staying here. There is not “resort” feel and for sure was not relaxing.

The resort was beautiful. The view was so amazing. The same tweet great, even coming in the off season. So relaxing and fun. Kids say it was the best resort. Breakfast and the view to top it all of, no complaints.

Hyatt has done an acceptable job of updating many of the facilities at Cheyenne Mountain Resort. However, one does wonder when the next step of updating staff at this facility will happen, and the characteristic uniformity associated with Hyatt quality will be employed. Whether from laziness or general negligence, from the front desk staff to housekeeping there is a general sense of disorder/failure in management and training. No one knows protocol/no one is providing employees with consistent answers to questions/and the resort can feel a bit like it’s being maintained for the land value later (clean towels in the bathrooms, but six different patterns… fresh paint, but aged facilities.) Hyatt has its work cut out, old staff of Cheyenne resort need to be let go and new/seasoned employees of Hyatt need to be employed… consistency in everything from linens to hours of operation to communication standards between staff and guests would be nice. There also seems to be a substantial disconnect between the staff and third-party booking agencies, such as Expedia. When you book with Expedia, you provided a rather lengthy list of additional charges that can be levied at the property, but I have never had a resort attempt to maximize on this potential by charging us nearly $200 more than our expected on site premium. The manager was somewhat off base explaining this attempt, but a refund of additional charges was issued. I will probably stay again, but Hyatt needs to step up.
