Leonardo Royal good for late arrival
Arrived very late due to flight delay. Had to call hotel for airport transfe. The phone in the arrivals is for a different Leonardo hotel so there was some confusion. Reception was friendly and helpful on arrival. Room was lovely, beds ok.Fidnt stay for breakfast which was 22 each. Hotel is out on its own, we got an Uber into the city centre.

The staff are always so helpful and friendly, especially the reception and shuttle bus staff. We had a dirty hand towel in our bathroom and the service at our evening meal was not great. We have stayed here 3 times now and these were the first issues. Disappointed that the room service menu options have been reduced since our last stay. The area is a mix of development ground and housing. Nothing really near by.

Lovely hotel - read for shuttle advice
Convenient stay near Koln-Bonn airport. Hotel offers a free shuttle which you must call once you are through immigration for pick up. Unfortunately the shuttle drove past us multiple times and didn’t see us frantically waving so we got a taxi which the hotel offered to reimburse us for. I would recommend walking to your left as you exit the terminal building and wait before the taxi rank so that you’re easier to spot. The shuttle will also take you from the hotel to the train station for free. The room itself was clean and nicely decorated. We had a comfortable night and a nice stay. Would recommend.

Fabulous hotel close to the airport. Fortunate enough to get an upgrade. Only downside is bathroom door is glass and so in the night if the light is switched on it lights up the bedroom also.

The property itself was lovely. There was no view from the window as we were looking at the other rooms.. but it was nice, clean and in very good condition (but it is brand new). There were very limited food options, with a poor pizza and being suggested €5 for them to swap a bottle of water to still. Paid for a queen room but got 2 single beds. Missing little things for convenience like a bottle opener in the room. Room service was cash only. I wouldn’t say it was outstanding but there were no major complaints.

We had to be at the airport for our trip by 4:30 am the next ay and selected this hotel for an early start. It was convenient for that, but not as a place for an extended stay in Cologne. It is a newer hotel so all the areas and the dining areas are great.
