I booked through Expedia 2 days in a row for 2 different LA Quinta inns. At each property, upon arrival, the hotel had no record of the expedite reservation and we ended up having to pay again at each hotel resulting in 4 separate charges. This experience has been frustrating and will be my last expedite experience
Hotel seemed dirty as we walked down hall. I turned down 1 bed and sheets were visibly dirty, stained sheets, hair in them, dingy, and smelled dirty. Front desk was very kind and tried to find a new room. Unfortunately the only room was a single king and we had our 15yo son with us. The only option was was to be given new sheets and change sheets ourselves. Mattress pad was stained under dirty spot on the sheets. We checked out a day early. We were told a manager would be on duty in the morning, a note left on our room, and we would be compensated for the dirty room and having to change our own sheets. None of that was the case. We were told we could not get a refund because we booked through a third party.
We came back because it was good first time. Easy to find and easy to get to nearby food and shopping. Staff was good and knowledgeable. Room was clean and fresh. We used their board games available in lobby living room and breakfast was good, fresh and cooked right. Free refreshments when we got there were great. Cranberry juice for me, and wife got cucumber lemon water. Bonus.
The hallways to the rooms were didn't have AC and were quite warm and muggy. We had a heavy walker staying in the room above us who was up at 3 is the morning. The location was good and staff friendly. Check in was very quick.
