We had stayed at this motel before and we found it quite reasonable and comfortable. However, on this occasion we were very disappointed. See comments below. Pros: Location was good. Room clean, air conditioner worked well. Cons: Room very small and cramped No wardrobe or coat hangers Uncomfortable mattress Only one chair provided No table, just a small bench top with just enough room for one person Only saucers provided - no plates or bowls Almost useless wooden disposable cutlery No space for toiletries in bathroom nor was a face cloth provided.

1. Power points in my room went dead in the evening. Took more than an hour to get them reset. I also had power problems during my last stay so the electrical system at this motel seems dodgy. 2. No hot water in my room on the morning of departure. Had to have a cold shower which I really hate. At least one of the hot water systems out back were tripped offline. 3. Staff are rarely in reception. A mobile number is provided but it often goes to voicemail which is sometimes too full to leave messages. 4. Paint and fittings are showing their age. I don't think my room was worth the $170 per night that I paid for it.

The room we got (#24) had absolutely nothing to do with the pictures you find online. Old, dark, worn, damaged (e.g. a knocked hole in the bathroom door), ugly, no noise insulation whatsoever to next door room/bathroom, carpet tiles that didn't fit and had gaps, a matress that weirdly felt like a kind of airbed, a double not a queen size bed, and a penetrating smell from something like those scented tree-shaped things you get for cars. The only reason I'm not giving one star is that the sheets and towels were clean, and no obvious dirt or hairs in the bathroom. In summary: waaaaay too overpriced for what was offered! This was worth 50$, not (almost) 150$.

He property was not well maintained. The garden and grounds were were tidy and looked shabby.. The room itself was not at all as it appeared from n photos on website. The room was grubby,carpet was filthy with concrete visible underneath. The linen was very creased as if could have been unwashed or unironic. The only window did not open,the air conditioner was noisy and the room smelt.. I sprayed Glen 20 everywhere! I would not recommend..

Property is very dated. Needs some TLC to bring it up to standard. Comfortable enough for one night if nothing else is available. It is close to the Cobar Mining Museum and Memorial Park, which is a must see for all first time visitors.

Drive 13 hours from queensland, got yelled at by drunk *u**s drinking on the deck next to the entrance while i was driving in to the motel, and they kept gobbing off while i was getting my key, got into my 1970s room, ate all the biscuits, had a terrible 4 hours sleep in that awful bed and left before the sun came up. Waste of 150, should have stayed in my van.

WiFi didn't exist. Could not use it at all. Being a major draw card when traveling, we will pay more to stay somewhere else that might spend the $100/month for an NBN service that works. Office closes at 15:00 which is wild.
