The place is in a lovely area and looked promising as we arrived. I soon started expecting to find Gordon Ramsey and his Hotel Hell crew was filming. Minimal things one would expect were missing. For example, someone walked into our room without knocking, said, “Oh, I didn’t know anyone was in here” and walked out. She served our breakfast the next morning, so she wasn’t another guest.
The room was charming, but the dead bugs and old cobwebs in the skylights made it feel dirty. The bathroom was odd with no place for shampoo or soap in the shower and torn upholstery in a damp room. It added to the dirty feeling.
We had afternoon tea one day and breakfast the next. The food was not bad, but not good. There are certainly many nearby places that are better options. The service was friendly, but disorganized.
I wouldn’t return or recommend to visitors.
