Our room was pretty quiet (surprising given that it was on the side facing I-90), clean and comfortable, if quite a bit worn around the edges. The hotel is minutes from downtown Willoughby and Mentor and close to restaurants and malls. Our stay was very comfortable. We had to pay extra for a room with a coffee maker, and then the hotel ran out of coffee…but only briefly…and that is our only real complaint.

I enjoyed my stay, the room was clean, fully stocked and easy to check into, I was very satisfied with my stay, it did take a while for the water to get hot, but maybe because my friend she didn't turn on the right one immediately? Hmm not sure she was navigating it

Minimal comforts

I was surprised to discover NO amenitites (no microwave, no refrigerator, no coffee, no shampoo/lotion). I went to the office and was told I didn't ask for those in my room. I guess I should have studied the fine print more. The room was clean, but needed a lot of improvements (peeling wallpaper, cracked light switch, water damage around tub) and the bed was comfortable.

Good budget friendly accommodation

Good location and accommodations were good for the budget price. Their coffee at the office area was really good. We would stay here again when visiting this area.

It was so smelly

The smell was putrid. 100% cigarette smell even tho it’s no smoking. The toilet was definitely not cleaned. Paid for 2 days unfortunately can’t get a refund and we didn’t even stay 1 night. Learned our lesson

This was an affordable place to sleep. The beds were clean and comfortable. The towels were clean. The refrigerator was clean. No smells or bugs. The rest of the room was dingy. There were two spots on the floor by the bathroom that could not be wiped up. The ceiling had a crack from the door to the back wall that was shoddily patched. The light fixture switches needed cleaning. But if you only need a place to sleep, it’s enough.

Unfortunately, the entire room was kind of gross. The floors were not vacuumed. The room kind of smelled weird and the floor of the tub was black.. The toilet was also loose from the wall so every time you sat down, it would make a ka-chunk.

Im from Canada, visiting relatives in willoughby. I left my phone charger in the room. I called back the next day, it was turned in. Great! I drove back to the hotel to retrieve it. Put it in my back, continued on to Cleveland. Went to charge my phone in Cleveland, noticed my charging cord had been switched out out! My cord was 8' long & fabric. This was 2' long & rubber/plastic. Called hotel again, said i would have to call back the next day & speak to "Ken". The onous was assumed to me for phone calls & driving all over the city/state. No offer to look after it for me. Will also be filing complaint with Red Roof head office
