We always stay here and feel safe and the place is clean, with good amenities and food. However, the fact that the desk lamp could not be plugged in, we were missing some light in the room. Eventually the floor lamp bulb went out. The unplugged and useless lamp had a working bulb, thankfully, and we took it out and put it in the floor lamp. You really need to keep on top of the light situation in your rooms. Being on the first floor , and even having a screen to block people from seeing in, is not enough. There should be enough light in the room so you can move around freely and even read a book. This was room 118. You should really put an extension on the lamp that now has a dead bulb in it and no place to be plugged in so that it can be plugged in elsewhere with a working bulb. There is no excuse for this sort of negligence. Otherwise your hotel is one we always use.
The customer service at check-in was excellent. However, the hotel rooms appeared outdated and somewhat worn. The shower tiles had been painted with a brush and roller, and the bed was noticeably squeaky. Overall, the accommodations felt dated and in need of renovation. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again.
Approaching the property we thought it was closed and they must have opened a new one around the corner. Looked like it was in an abandoned commercial park. Huge, empty worn out parking lot wrapping around. Photo is stock or very old. No bushes or trees. Paint patches in different color. No sign of activity. Went in. Not a light on in the place. Walls and tile a dull beige, no real lobby, open to fake dark wood b'fast area w dark laminate tables made for a dark hole. Again, not a light on. Just what filtered in thru the original aged sheers. 4PM and it felt like 7PM. Could tell immediately it didn't feel safe. Asked about getting out of at least the second two nights. Told we had to go thru Travelocity. Went to room to try and regroup. Probably original room to what ever chain owned it four sales ago. Mattresses on visible plywood sheets looked like collapsed sacks. View of a shuttered commercial park property and another huge empty lot. No other cars beyond us and employee. Vacant. Dark. Scary. Travelocity did argue our way out of two more nights. But we had to pay for the first even though we walked out and didn't spend more than a phone call to book an actual hotel. Very surprised Wyndham put their name on this. They aren't top tier by any stretch but this was Bates-like. Price was low so if you aren't afraid and budget is a big issues, maybe. I was happy to pay twice as much and run away.
The room did not look like any of the pictures that was on line. I thought i was getting a realky nice up to date room. And it was one step up from a super 8 truck stop. The worse part i booked the room on line and paid for the room and they asked for a debit card on the pre check in they send you the day before and they charged me again and added $100 to it. Told me it was there problem it was the booking company responsibility to make it right so now i have $500 in one of the worst rooms ive stayed in.
Sheets were ripped, room is not clean and the place is very tired and outdated. Not to mention, my skin developed a rash, and the pillows and bed were not comfortable at all.
Room was clean but aged. Peeling soap dish, rust around the toilet. But over all it was clean, warm and comfortable. A coffee machine would have been better in the room. There was a female employee who had a uniform and a name tag, but the manager, a young man, had no uniform or name tag. At first I thought he was a guest
I asked the lady with the uniform to please check us out. She asked the young man with no uniform to check us out. Uniforms are important, especially when you are in a Hotel.
