Very unique property and loved the retro vibes. Bathrooms are dates. Upon my first night I killed a roach in the bathroom vanity area. I called the front desk to make them aware and they asked if I had a photo or video. I cleaned up the debris and flushed it. Not sure why they would think I would lie about a roach in the room. I noticed another one in the bed the next morning and did take a pic and video. They did not hesitate to change my room. However, It was sad that it had to be proven to them. After this I had no other issues.

The fun atmosphere was remarkable, especially for the price. We had fun in the arcade, at the pool and playing a large jenga game by the fire outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The Trolley blue line was only about a three minute walk, which was so convenient. I can’t wait to go back!

Really enjoyed the design and visuals of the hotel. Liked that there was a common area to hang out and the pool seemed pretty cool. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge to hold onto food. Really enjoyed the cruisers that we rode to the beach. Would come back again.

Very clean and very respectful and welcoming staff. Our room was right in front of the pool, so we could hear people the following morning, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. Definitely would stay here again. The food in the café was actually really good and fairly priced too.

I absolutely loved this hotel! It was quiet, calm, yet suitably close to public transport options. The staff were very friendly, even allowing me an extended checkout for no extra cost. The coffee shop was excellent - the food and drinks freshly prepared and so tasty!

Really liked the Rambler Hotel, easy walk to public transportation that will take you to downtown San Diego. It has been nicely remodeled, we enjoyed the breakfast and coffee we had in the morning. Everything was clean and the pool was really nice. would definitely stay again.
