This is not a resort. No accessibilities or elevator for guest, when it's advertised. No assistance with luggage. Limited food options. Hot water doesn't always work. Rusted fixtures in the Bathrms & Bed room. They close the main eating restaurant (breakfast & dinner only), when they open their only 1 specialty reservation restaurant-3 days a week. They expect guest to eat dinner @ pool bar! You get different responses from employees on the same question. It's like nobody is trained. Beach is not accessible with literality a wall of seaweed that comes to shore. The smell from the wall of seaweed can be nauseating, more so when the worker attempts to clean it with a mini tractor. Only 1 pool is available, I was told the 2nd pool has been under construction for 2yrs now. Note that Casino and fitness is not within the hotel, it's 5 min walk across or you can ask for a ride in golf cart. Again you find this info out by asking multiple workers. More than one occasion we were told food on the menu was not available. Didn't have, simple things, chicken, lemonade, cream for coffee. They list craft activities, then they don't have the supplies. I did speak to management, and all I got was an apology. Not sure how this resort is still opened. Limited staff onsite and many did say they were fairly new. One person I do give credit to is Farah (Guide into town),met her through another guest. In my opinion $$ is not worth it. Was told only half of the rooms have been renovated.

The hotel staff was not the best with cleaning the rooms. I requested more tissue and was told “we had to come down and get it.” The room wasn’t cleaned until requested on the last day of our stay. The jacuzzi wasn’t working and one of the bars was only open the first day we arrived. The activities that are listed as included weren’t available either. Overall the trip was what me made it and spent a a lot of time elsewhere opposed to relaxing at the resort. It is also a little far out for finding other restaurants and activities. Definitely need a rental car.

Overall a good stay, but a few things to note: The hotel itself was nice, and I would have rated it higher, but a few issues affected the experience. The seaweed smell from the ocean was overwhelming at times, making it difficult to enjoy the balcony or ocean breeze. As for the food, while the quality was good, the variety was lacking — the same options were served daily, which became repetitive. I ended up renting a car to explore other beaches and try different dining options nearby. Aside from that, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful. A solid stay, just with some room for improvement

Everyone was so nice and polite. I wish there were more activities esp since it’s the height of sargassum season. They were nice to pack a big cooler and take us 5 mins down the road to a usable beach and it was gorgeous. Casino doesn’t pay out much but all in all a great experience!

The property had amazing views from our ocean front room. The food was really good at the breakfast buffet , the pool grill was so convenient and made to order with daily specials and the tuscany restaurant exceeded expectations. The only thing is if your looking for a resort with a lot going on / activities this may not be it, the resort was really low key , calm quiet and no evening entertainment. The beach is definitely the biggest downfall , not to the fault of the resort or staff its mother nature and her seaweed. They raked the beach almost daily and it would be built up by the end of the day, you really could not enjoy a swim in the ocean.

Oh wow Divi Carina was, An experience i will never forget. The food ( Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) was fantastic, delicious and worth it. Always felt relaxed and at peace with my stay there. The property was kept up maintenance and the staff whom worked there, They deffidently knew how to make you relaxed and keep you that way, loved the whole experience and the stay, memories i wont forget. If anyones looking for a place, where relaxation is all oj your mind ( not so much going far) just a soak in the sun, have some tasty sips and sigh in relaxation, i would recomend this place for all around by far. Didnt go anywhere just knew after the week was done, i would be thankful for all that resort did to make the stay, so relaxing and peaceful. Try for yourself. Its very nice. One last opinion, if your looking to shop and touring, do it early through the week, get it out of the way. Then get to fun in the sun :)
