Great location

Centrally located next to the Cathedral, the hotel is lovely. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I had to borrow a convertor for the electric plug as I forgot mine. The hotel was walking distance to lovely restaurants and shops. We are at the hotel the first night, the food was very good, the drinks were very good from the bar. It's a short walk to the trolley station if you want to get an overview of the area. Don't miss the Botanical Park or the Art Museum, both free and.lovely!!

A noisy air con that did not seem to offer any heat made this stay not up to standard. The room was spacious and well appointed, great breakfast buffet, and obliging staff. Being in the heart of the city was a plus but I am not sure I would stay again

The room felt luxurious and was very clean. The check in process was easy and the staff were incredibly helpful with luggage and with finding ice. The valet parking was a bit expensive ($35NZD) and self parking is not an option. Overall the hotel is worth the price.

A great location with everything we needed in walking distance. Very comfortable beds. As a family of 5 we did have to call reception each day for towels as not enough were left. But they arrived very quickly when we did. Lovely staff. Would happily stay again.

An old hotel that had underwent upgrades and become a modern establishment but maintaining old school flavours. Large rooms and bathroom with jacuzzi. Central in location and walkable to all the attractions. Excellent hotel to stay.

We spent our first night there with a AATKings travel group. The 2nd night was after the tour ended on our own. ALL interactions with many staff were AWESOME. Each individual was professional, proficient polite effective very personable and extremely helpful. Most had a very good sense of humor and were extremely good natured. I worked in the computer field for 40 years and it may not seem like it, but we interacted with our ‘users’ and customer service was very important to us. As a data center manager I focused on this aspect… therefore I recognize when it’s lacking and also when it’s exceptional.
