This was a quick stay for us to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. We were pleasantly surprised by how well it worked out: Staff was very nice, the space was good for a family of 5 (or larger), and the beds were comfortable with heated mattress pads! The kitchen area is not large, so it's best for short stays or people not planning on doing tons of cooking. We were happy with our stay for the price point especially!

Great accommodation near the Botanic Gardens. Lots of transport options and being pretty flat, it's a very walkable to the CBD. The rooms were nice and clean, but can be hot/warm as it didn't have AC. A ceiling fan or pedestal fan would have been good. Allows late checkin as it's not staffed after 8pm.

Amazing value for the 5 person unit. Fantastic location at the edge of Hagley Park. Walking distance to the City Centre and Riccarton. However, I marked down service as the office shuts at 8pm. Since I was arriving at 10pm, a point which I had communicated to them, they made no effort to make me aware of the after hours check in process. It was only a chance phone call I made to them earlier on check in day about a different subject, which led to them telling me the after hours check in process. Many latches on the windows were falling apart or broken. However, the outstanding value, cleanliness and location made the stay fantastic.

Wow the Ashford Motor Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. There’s plenty of places to park your car. Lovely relaxing swimming pool. Room and bathroom large and extremely clean and a nice kitchenette to make breakfast and snacks. The staff are so helpful and friendly you could not ask for more on a holiday

We could not fault this property! Our unit was immaculately clean, beautifully presented and very quiet. The location is great - handy to the city, many shopping and dining options and Hagley Park a wonderful Christchurch gem.

The studio was spacious and clean, and had all the amenities you could ask for. There is ample parking and it’s relatively easy to get into the CBD either by driving or taking public transport. The staff were very friendly and I think the offer of milk is a nice touch, it saves you going to the nearby petrol station which I found to be the only alternative.

Best stay this trip

This is the best accomodation out of 3 in Christchurch we stayed this trip. It’s one class above others in terms of space and layout, also quality. All four of us felt like we could space out and relax. We even got a late check out of 12 o’clock due to a late flight that day which was much appreciated. Location wise it’s very handy for hagley park and cbd. We will stay again.
