Exceptional room made this a great place to stay.

Huge room, quiet location, staircase took a bit of negotiating with large luggage, great breakfast, and excellent value for money. Ongoing renovations did make accessing the restaurant for breakfast a little confusing.

Looks to be a great hotel but wasn’t made aware the hotel was under construction. Dangerous diversions to get to the bar, workmen everywhere and no outdoor areas to sit. Drive we being tarmacced with no signs or barriers showing another way out

I hate it when hotels with spa / leisure facilities DO NOT tell you they are closed when you make a booking. The level of refurb that is in progress was awful for guests to not be made aware. make shift restaurant / no bar unless you love golf / no swim / no spa. Not ideal at all

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cotswold hotel and spa but there was quite a bit of building work going on when we stayed , nevertheless we still enjoyed it

Only one night. All good except the room was extremely cold and we could neither put the heater up and the duvet was very sim and no extra blankets in the cupboard, My wife and I had to put on extra clothing to keep warm in the bed I cannot complete your star rating system as all starts go blue and I cannot change them.

2 day work trip. Ive stayed before. I normally stay in Chippy and its a bit far out to walk in for the evening wothout driving. Our twin room 406 was a bit pokey tbh. If the cap fits, wear it, but i prefer somewhere a bit more connected.

Nice stay, room and water too hot

Not a traditional hotel as such, best described as blocks of bedsit type rooms with access to a bar and restaurant. The rooms come complete with job, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Our room was furthest from the restaurant, fortunately it was lovely weather, you would get a soaking if raining walking to breakfast. The room (712) was spacious, clean and very quiet. But it was so hot! Not sure why, all radiators were off. There are locked cupboards that I think contain a boiler (not sure how fuelled but gas I should think) and other plumbing and these seemed quite warm at all times. I mentioned this to reception who said they would get maintenance to have a look but I’m not sure they were taking much notice. Also the hot water was scaldingly hot. This is dangerous and either warnings should be given or the temperature reduced. Breakfast was good and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend with the warning that the room price is fairly expensive for what you get though this is an expensive part of the country. Of course if you are a golfer (I’m not!) this could be the perfect place for a weekend break.

A nice stay marred by poor equipment

Room and venue was nice. Bed was comfy and bathroom spacious. Menu at restaurant was standard fare and reasonably priced for hotel food. However, all this was marred by a poor experience in the morning ironing my shirt, brown sludge came out which went all over my white shirt. When I explained to reception upon checking out they apologised and said they would change it over, however nothing else was offered. When I explained that was obviously no good to me and showed the shirt, nothing was offered other than an apology. Disappointed that it marred the stay, but a credit for future stays / discount off bill to cover cleaning costs would have fixed the situation but alas no.

Very nice hotel, room was nice with everything you would need and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again without a doubt. The only negative was the sofa bed. I think they need vast improvement as it was extremely uncomfortable with next to no padding. This unfortunately resulted in a poor sleep. That being said, i would still happily return, i would just reserve 2 rooms rather than sharing.

Staff were unfriendly apart from lady at breakfast this morning. Gym had no equipment and you couldnt use treadmill after 5pm. No spa facilities Our bed was 2 singles put together and one was slightly higher so uncomfortably on the join Not good value for money
