Not sure whether the problem was with the Orbitz system or with the hotel booking system, but after I booked six rooms, and I got a confirmation, the hotel called me to say that only four rooms were available. They booked with a nearby hotel, but the nearby hotel was a lower quality (rooms with an outside entrance, one of which had had the door kicked in at some point). The Days Inn itself was good.

We were late as it took us longer to get there from Galveston than expected. The front desk lady and I am so sorry I forgot her name called and checked up on us!!! So sweet! The lobby and our rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great, just enough and something for all of us. Thank you, this was a wonderful stay.

Chillin in Childress

Needed a place to stay on our way home from the mountains. Childress was a great destination for a short second day trip home. The place was really nice, only complaint is that it was loud. My wife could hear whoever was next to our room snoring in the middle of the night. But updated rooms and a nice cold breakfast the next morning. Highlight of the stay was the resident cat who lives there to greet guests and chills in the pool area. He needs his own social media profile!

This is an old motel thst has been recently updated. Everything seemed clean. The room we stayed in was small and beds were ok. Breakfast was included, but very limited. About all they had was waffles, bread/bagles, cereal, apple juice and yogurt. The milk and juice were in a pitcher, not a juice machine or little sealed cartons.
