Fine hotel, terrible customer service
The hotel’s system had some error where they screwed up our reservation dates and they did not reflect what I had booked or what my confirmation email was. The girl on staff was absolutely so rude and not accommodating at all. She essentially told us one of our dates wasn’t in the booking and the hotel was completely full and we couldn’t stay there and did nothing to try to help. I had to advocate for myself over and over and demand to speak to the manager and she came back and just said ok do you want to charge the card on file for both nights. No explanation, no apologies. Didn’t let me speak to the manager. It was all very strange. I assume she was lying the hotel was booked if she suddenly found a room. 0/10 customer service. Also they have an indoor pool but it’s ice cold

We had stayed at a Quality Inn earlier in our trip and it was excellent so we decided to go with this one in Willows. There was no mention that the pool heater was broken. The "free breakfast" had nothing we could eat. My daughter tried a muffin but said it was dry or stale. The coffee was mediocre and there was absolutely no protein.

Review of room
The room was dirty. There were food stains on the walls and someone spilled a drink on the walls and it was not cleaned off. The bathroom was also dirty and the bathtub was discussing. The whole first floor smelled of bleach and the halls were very dark. The staff were very nice and helpful.

This facility has a new owner and is newly refurbished. I hadn’t expected a lot but it was really nice and I’d stay there again. The breakfast was pretty sparse but there weren’t a lot of people staying there that night. (One kind of muffin, coffee, juice and the ubiquitous waffle maker. There may have been cold cereal….not much else).
