Always get a clean room here with a nice view of the river. They were redoing their lobby, but it didn’t cause too much traffic waiting for the elevator.

LOVED our stay at the Royal Sonesta River North. The view from our room was amazing of the river. Splurge for the River View!! The location is perfect for everything. Easy to walk to ALL activities. Less than a mile to walk to Navy Pier, Millennium Park, fabulous restaurants, speakeasy's, 360 Chicago. The rooms are so clean. Room service every day. They are redoing the lobby right now- it looks like it will be wonderful. The rest of the entrance, lobby, bar and restaurant are so nice. I highly recommend staying at the Royal Sonesta River North- and get thr view room!!!!! One thing of note -the price difference of what Expedia quoted for the stay and what was charged was 100$ a day difference. We stayed 3 days so 300$ was tagged on to what the projected price was supposed to be. Fine print of hotel fees. So did I save any money? NO.

The front desk staff were amazing. Got me my room upgrade without any problems. The doormen were so friendly and helpful. Room service would’ve been a nice option instead of going downstairs. The parking situation was not fun being that it’s 3 blocks away. But we would still choose this place again.

Location is amazing as in the view!! Breakfast was fantastic (cinnamon waffles, coffee, etc). Staff was kind and attentive.Left a pot of coffee on my table each morning for coffee, loved that! Beer taps in restaurant were down during my stay.

I had an amazing stay at The Royal Sonesta Downtown Chicago! The location was perfect, with stunning city views and easy access to everything downtown. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and my room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed. The bed was super comfortable, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. The hotel’s facilities were well-maintained and added to the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again!
