Family weekend getaway

I called the hotel number to see if we could check in early and they told me I had to go to the hotel, so we went, and thankfully we were able to check in early. We were given out ticket for parking with the hotel and keys. The rooms were average, and for paying for a high rise room we were on floor 19 which was probably the lowest "high rise room". View was decent, just not as high we I would of liked. Room was very clean. Beds were firm as all hotel beds are but not lump. The temperature control was the worst of the room, the room was colder when we came in which is normal, but then took forever to heat up, and then in the middle of the night we had to turn it down because the temp we had it on became way to hot (were talking like 71). Bathroom was nice, but the doors on shower and toilet area wouldn't stay closed, they were always be open like 2 inches no matter which way you closed it, they are heavy glass doors. There is a mini fridge and plenty of storage for clothing. They also offer free water bottles in each room, besides the normal coffee/tea. Located in a decent area as well.

Great hotel, great staff, great location. Only bummer was that the chrome cast in our room didn’t work all weekend on the TV, the movies on the tv all cost $19.99 to rent, and the restaurant/bar closes at 11pm on the weekend which is too bad.

Could’ve been better

My bathroom had someone else hair on the floor as well as a piece of tissue. Luckily I always bring bleach. I have locs and my daughter has braids! The pillow had a stained spot! Other than that it’s a decent getaway

The cigarette smoke was overwhelming in the lobby. Staff seemed irritated when we arrived for check in. The room was clean but many of the common areas felt like they could use some attention.
