I really like this hotel. However, when we checked in, we were presented with an upgrade option for $45 more per night. It was presented to me as a bigger room with two queen sized beds and two bathrooms. Wow, we thought. Ok, we’ll take it! Shame on me for not asking enough questions. When we got to the room, it did have two queen beds and two bathrooms BUT it was so incredibly dark. The room had absolutely no view and faced windows from the opposite side of the hotel. If we didn’t use our shades, everyone could see right in our room just as we could see in everyone else’s room. When the shades were open, we couldn’t even tell if it was sunny out. I feel duped. Message to all… ask all the questions!

This hotel is centrally located in the Loop, easily walkable to many attractions and the lakefront. Conference facilities were great. The hotel conveniently has 2 restaurants and a convenience store onsite. Rooms were clean, albeit a bit worn and lacked simple amenities like a luggage rack and extra pillows and blankets. The mattress was not as comfortable as other Hiltons I've stayed at. It could do to upgrade these few amenities for the price. The convenience store had a good selection of quick meals, coffee and snacks but the line to check out was always very long and would have made me late for my conference seminars if I waited there for my morning coffee. Something should be done about the efficiency of that location. Also, offering actual room service would have been a welcome amenity I'd pay for. Overall, it was a good stay and I'd book it again next time I come to Chicago.

Overall a great stay. the front desk representative who checked us in was not very welcoming and seemed disinterested to be there. Other than that that all other staff were wonderful, especially the staff at the fitness area and pool. We had a room with two queens which was clean any roomy enough on a quiet hallway. Suites our needs fine.

The charge 25 for breakfast but don’t tell you how to use the credit. If you go to the buffet have them bill everyone individually to use the credit.

Look else where….
We checked in and got up to our room where the AC did not work. It was almost 80 in the room when thermostat was set to 68. Mind you temp outside was 72. Fridges didn’t work, no microwave, dusty furniture. We were there for a few days and they not once came up to comp, fix or do anything to accommodate us for the lack of adequate air in the room. In top of that, they had so many events going on in the hotel that guests were forced to go through the bar because of weddings in the lobby. It should be the other way around, we paid over $1000 for our stay and it seemed super inconvenient to have stayed.
