Hotel from hell

They claims something happened with my transaction so restarted the process and then proceeded to double charge me for my stay and charge me two late fees when I was ON TIME… totally an extra 650 dollars in charges not included the 200 incidental fee. This hotel was a nightmare. They had no idea where my money went and oh ya there was MOLD! Yup! See pics below :)

I was traveling with my elderly mom who had a doctors appointment across the street from the hotel the next morning. Upon arrival I attempted to place her in bed but when I pulled the blanket back there was hair and dirt on the linen. I looked at the blanket itself and it too was covered in hair. I took pics and videos and went to the front desk. They apologized, gave me a free orange juice and had someone change the linen. Later on that night, I took a shower and there was hair literally everywhere in the bathroom. At this point, I was just disgusted and wanted to go home. In addition this, the room was dated, rough around the edges, dirty windows and worn out mattress that was uncomfortable to sleep on. I will never visit this hotel again and Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on it.

I've stayed in this hotel twice because the location is great for the price. However, Chicago in January is cold, and this hotel's systems are not up to the challenge. The rooms have large, single pane windows as does the breakfast area. You can feel the cold coming in. The only warm location is the Chipotle off the lobby. In October the hotel was packed and the elevators are not up to that kind of use.

The hotel hallways were outdated and they were understaffed. The non smoking floors smelled of cigarettes and often when I called the front desk, I got no response. I even had to request housekeeping as my room was not cleaned. Not a luxury experience at all.

We love Chicago, hotel overall was good, although we did not get roomed cleaned as they said at the front desk every other day, we were there three nights. Also coffee maker didn’t have the tray to put the coffee filter in, could not make coffe. Wait for elevators was a long time ( on 25th floor)

Spacious room, and polite front desk staff. However some pains I wish I knew beforehand 1) Impossible to get an elevator to get to your room. Sometimes the wait was > 30 min ! With 3 small elevators for a 40-storey building, the resource contention is in-built in this hotel. Forget getting in and out of your floor at busy times in the AM/PM 2) No microwave in the room/floor is a let down 3) Breakfast area was too crowded, and wait times exceeded 1 hr in busy days.

There was wet blood on my bed sheets, I had such a horrible experience because of this. Only stayed 2 nights and one of the days I was in the hospital because I was so freaked out by this. The room was dirty to begin with because there was trash in one of the garbage cans left from the last person who stayed in the room

The day we were checking out only one elevator was working and we had to walk down 15 flights of stairs with all of our baggage. It was terrible! The hotel is outdated and unkept. I will not stay there ever again.

At the time of the reservation the parking was supposed to be included. While I was checking in I was told the parking was an extra $70 per night. They told me to ask hotels.com for refund
