Daiwa has really good staff and breakfast options and is right by the Chiba station with easy access to a number of other places (such as Tokyo). The beds are rather firm, but everything else was excellent with our stay.

I’ve had several problems with Expedia over the years where I search for something, but when I book, it’s something different. I didn’t realize my booking was for 1 person, even though I searched for “1 room 2 travelers”. The hotel manager was inflexible even though we’ve stayed here about 50 nights in the last 7 years. We’ll take our business elsewhere next time.

Check in process is strange. Automated checkin machines are available but are only useable after checking in manually with the counter. This means the machines have extended the checkin process not made it more efficient. Brekfast available from 6.30 would have been nice and I would like to see real knives and forks instead of plastic wrapped plastic disposable cutlery.
