Amazing location, very overpriced

We stayed here because we needed a centrally located hotel, and you can’t knock the location. However, the rooms are not soundproofed so the noise from bars and clubs around the hotel are very prevalent. The cost of the hotel was so far out of line with what the experience was. The staff in reception and the restaurant were fab, 10/10. But the room was average, the breakfast was also average - even the upgrade for cooked options was expensive when you saw what was actually served. The room had some Elemis items in which was a nice touch, but there was no hand wash. And when ordering a bacon sandwich on room service, for £10 I thought it was pretty poor and could have got better quality bread if I’d gone to a supermarket. Overall if location is your key, this is great but you will absolutely pay for it. We paid £275 and it should have been at least £100 cheaper for the experience we had.

First Class Hotel

Our stay at the Hotel was wonderful from the time that we were welcomed to The Chester Grosvenor to the time we left. The staff were friendly, the room was comfortable and the meals delicious.

Our room was lovely! Large and very clean with a big bathroom and very comfortable king bed! The shower/bath combo would not be ideal for anyone who might have stability issues. The bath is quite narrow making one feel cramped and a bit unstable! Otherwise we loved our stay!

We had a lovely stay here. The staff were absolutely amazing - they couldn’t do enough for us and were so helpful. The hotel itself is very grand but parts do need refreshing. We had a sofa in our room which had a suspicious stain on it- could this have been cleaned off? The air conditioning fan in the room was extremely noisy all night long, even though we had switched it to the off position. This was disappointing. We didn’t have the best sleep as a result - we mentioned on checking out. That being said, the room was very grand with a huge bed. The pillows looked very luxurious but were feather and sank to nothing when putting your head on them! The continental breakfast was delicious and filling although it was disappointing that a cooked breakfast was not included for the price we paid. The shopping centre car park was very convenient for the hotel and the location of the hotel was perfect.

The best stay at the beautiful Grosvenor hotel

On Wednesday the 19th of February, my sister and I had the great pleasure of staying at this stunning hotel in Chester . From start to finish , even during the booking stage of our stay , was absolutely incredible. The care and attention the three beautiful girls gave us at reception was second to none . You were my absolute angels ,as it was a very important stay , reuniting with my sister after over 50 years apart. When we arrived on the day of our stay , there was thdxwarmest welcome and a caring hug. They really did share our joy . They had chosen a beautiful room overlookung the street , a beautiful breakfast was kindly organised for us , and a hand written card poetlically put together for this special occasion. The beautiful room was welcoming and warm, a gorgeous bathroom complete with Elemis bath products . I want to thank my three angels on reception ,for both Tuesday evening helping me to secure my stay and on the Wednesday when we arrived. I will never forget the contribution you all made to make this experience something really unforgettable. Your service is absolutely incredible and i will be returning again soon.
