The first room they assigned me recked in pet urine that almost makes you sick to my stomach. They eventually changed my room after the receptionist came to the room to spray and witness the smell herself. The second room was a tremendous improvement. This particular hotel is in serious need of new carpet.

Floors were very dirty, spots in carpet, walls unclean. Not what we normally expect from a La Quinta stay. We were disappointed. Also a broken elevator with no sign on doors that it was unable to take guests to floor 3 at all.

I will not stay here again. Gladly bed and bath were clean. Everything else is terrible. Elevators are old but only one worked. Pool does not work and according to staff was not working for 2+ years. Carpets in building are really dirty, everywhere seems old, smelly and dirty. Door to room easy to access when you are not there. Doors are not secure or tight to prevent someone coming in. Do not book here, you might regrets it. Emergency stop for the night might be ok. Hope they clean hotel asap.

The hotel needs renovations, everyday our keycard stopped working so we had to stop by the front desk to get into our room. The staff were professional and friendly but I wouldn’t go back and can’t imagine anyone that would. Front desk computers would freeze up and one of the elevators weren’t fully operational and could only go to a select number of floors. You get what you pay for I guess

It’s ok

I’m in the process of moving coming from Florida and Charolette was the half way point for me. I was traveling with my dog as well. Upon entering the hotel staff was very friendly and the lobby was nice. Getting to my room though…. The door was jammed, took several tries to get into and the room smelled like pee. I understand other folks having dogs too, but it was heavy smelling. I had to go buy an air freshener to help with the smell. Also, there was no control over the AC. It stayed on 74 and was super stuffy. The buttons wouldn’t let me adjust the temp at all. I feel like if you don’t have a pet, you may have a different experience, but even though this was affordable including the pet fee of $25, the carpets need to be cleaned or the room aired out or something. Overall, it was a safe place to lay my head though

I booked this hotel because of the price and that it had a fair amount of 10/10 Expedia reviews. I’m not sure how or why they gave it 10/10. The room wasn’t bad, but the hallway carpets were absolutely disgusting. Area didn’t seem too safe with a fair amount of homeless people around. We only stayed on night on our way south. Breakfast was ok and the coffee was good. We ate at a local beer garden that was good. Would not stay there again.

The property was really outdated and very old. The lobby and hallways were very hot and humid. Inside my room was the same, but i discovered that the heat was left on! The "breakfast " had no protein, just pancakes and waffles. The clerk at rhe front desk refused to accept my credit card because it was issed by Pay Pal. I tried to explain that it wasn't a paypal debit card, but an actual Paypal mastercard, but she still refused to take it and kept on repeating:" We don't accept Pay Pal.."

The staff was very friendly and sweet but this la Quinta needs a makeover asap. Elevators are broken and can only take you to certain floors, carpets are stained, property states it’s a strict no smoking hotel but the entire place smells like cigarettes, parking lot was trashed and littered with random clothes, etc. We did not feel safe or clean for our one night stay and will not be returning.
