Booked this hotel in uptown Charlotte because of it's walking distance to the Spectrum Center for a concert, as many others did. Paying for parking was a bit of a downfall as well as being priced twice as high for convenience for walking, but otherwise, it was fine. The internet was limited to 10mbps up/10mbps down as a guest. I have Hilton Honors (Hampton is owned by Hilton) but I didn't bother calling the front desk to have it added. It should've been done before check in. However, since we weren't going to be using the room for much more than sleeping and snacking, this really wasn't an issue for this trip. Everything was comfortable and seemed clean.
The front desk staff at check-in was VERY friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and always fresh (it was a weekend and I'm willing to bet the hotel was at max occupancy). The elevators elevated fairly quickly; which was a great change from some other hotels we've stayed.
Everything was well within walking distance. This was a pleasant stay.
was nice hotel, close to spectrum center. only issue was that there was someone’s previous belongings and some kind of saw dust on the floor? from the bathroom door opening and closing. besides that it was good

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to my business needs in Charlotte. I found the front desk clerk to be lacking in his customer service skills. He did not smile, did not welcome me and did not explain the parking deck situation to my satisfaction. The two women who were working the breakfast area completely ignored me and carried on a conversation with their friends. Rude!
The hotel itself was good. However our room wasn’t comfortable. We were directly beside the elevator which made the room noisy and difficult to sleep. You could hear people vacuuming before 8 am as well. Nice facility but difficult to try to sleep
I was thoroughly impressed especially with the staff while we were there. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, excellent customer service. We had a little mix up in the beginning with our room, but the manager on duty immediately fixed it and was super kind. The breakfast each day was a wonderful bonus and I was amazed how quickly they would clean up little messes caused by the traffic of so many people coming in and out and getting their food. I would highly recommend this Hampton Inn and we will likely return when we are back in Charlotte next year!
