And they charged full price for nothing
150.00 for a king room...it was only missing the fridge..microwave..hair dryer..garbage cans..coffee pot..iron..Smoke detector was in a drawer.The only things in the room was a bed..TV that wasn't working and 2 towels. But charged full price. Lady at front desk could care less.We found a different hotel immediately and was told we'd get a refund. Will be contacting management Check your room first would be my warning.

Upgraded to a suite for extra $45 and fridge didn’t work. Breakfast included but bare. Seemed like a decent area to stay. Felt safe parking car overnight. Cheapest hotel in the area for a reason

Overall was pretty good for one night but there aren’t very accessible outlets in addition to the fact that while there were two lamps neither had lightbulbs in them. Plus one of the light fixtures on the wall was falling out. It wasn’t bad just kinda rundown in the rooms. The lobby and the breakfast area were in great condition.

The staff was nice. The rooms need updating and cleaniness. Toilet lid stained which is a cheap fix, hair on the bathroom floor and found a hair in a folded towel.

Perhaps due to the pending hurricane every room South of Gastonia NC to north of Charlotte was sold out. This place has tgree rooms and we are thankful. The checkin staff was great. The elevator was broken so we had to carry luggage three flights of stairs and we are 70 years old. Many things were broken, ice machine, pool. Carpets were very worn and dingy. Room was clean, beds were soft but really looked worn. Grateful for room but would never stay there under normal circumstances.

The only dog friendly room they had was on the third floor and they're elevator was broken unfortunately I have a 13-year-old dog with a bad leg so we couldn't use the place they should have let us know before we made the trip.

Crumbling hotel that might be better some day
Friday night we check in to our room on the fourth floor. When I get up the next morning, planning to go to a dressy event, I find the elevator is out of order. It was still out of order when we left Sunday noon. Through the course of our stay on Saturday and Sunday, we had to go from 1st floor to 4th floor on a filthy external stairwell that reeked of marijuana smoke and where the door to each floor of the hotel was propped open with a towel. On one occasion, after traipsing up to the fourth floor, I found the towel was not there, so the door was locked. I had to return to the first floor, walk the length of the hotel, and then climb the four floors on the other end. I had to walk the stairs at least six times over the course of our stay, including taking all of our bags out to the car when we left, which took three trips as we could not use the luggage cart. We ordered dinner out one evening, but the delivery person just left our food at the front desk when they realized the elevator didn't work. How secure would you feel knowing that anyone has access to the inside floor of every floor? A handicapped man traveling with a dog was on the third floor and I passed him multiple times struggle to let his dog out. Another group were working a haunted house and two women were having to carry heavy cartons of costumes and gear up to their 3rd floor room. I would strongly recommend dropping this hotel from your schedule until they have completed their renovations.

Absolutely disgusting!
I absolutely cannot believe that Hotels.com even offers this hotel as part of their choices. It was absolutely disgusting and seemed like a hangout for drug and or illegal immigrants. Feared for our safety and actually grabbed our gun for that purpose. Tried to turn on the faucet in the room and it came off in my hands. Looks ok from the outside but inside smells terrible and it is a hot mess. Would NEVER stay here again and now doubt the quality of Hotels.com. Do they not even check to see what kind of crap they offer on their website?

This property was filthy. The elevator had an odor that was almost unbearable. And eventually, it broke down during my stay. I understand that these things happen, but the stairs were so dirty (people spilled food and it wasn't cleaned up and they were littered with cigarette butts), that were almost impassable. My room was so dirty that I wore shoes the entire time I was there. Don't let the photos fool you.

Was initially given room keys to occupied room. Man came to door when we knocked. Second attempt at a room was not what we reserved. Property filthy with cigarette butts everywhere and smelled awful. Outside access doors propped open (very unsafe) due to elevator broke. Our tub was clogged. Sink cracked. Pool closed. Carpet sticky. Curtains w dead bugs and cobwebs. “Breakfast” was a joke. A/C not working in lobby. Musty. Staff at check in was easily confused, hence giving us keys to an occupied room. If I could give a negative 10 rating I would!!!

We stayed here while displaced due to Helene. The staff was wonderful and accommodating with stay extension as well as allowing us to reverse the last extension once we could go back to our house. The kept us at the original price we got before all the hotels in the area started selling out. Clean rooms, basic but good breakfast, and bless them for allowing us to bring pets.

The rooms here are usually $77. They were charging 189 because of the disaster in North Carolina, where people were getting flooded out of their homes. This is price gauging. My room is filthy upon rev arrival no chair for the desk no trashcan in the room and the floor was so filthy that I had to have her mop it before I went back in there staff tries their best, but this place is gross

Third stay, and hope to return again.
This is our third time staying in this hotel. It is comfortable, quiet, and has easy access from the interstate. The continental breakfast is great, and they continue to put money into updates. Our rooms and other areas had received updates since our last stay. We all commented on the excellent water pressure. That may seem like an odd compliment, but that's how impressed we were. The cleaning crew was sloppy. We found a toothbrush and pennies left behind from the last occupant. The soap tray and shampoos were not placed at the sink. We found them the next morning next to the coffee maker which was on top of the microwave.

My bathroom had long black hairs all over. Also the room is dated and the pool was closed due to it failed inspection. The front desk told me this and not to use the pool.
