Friendly service. Great breakfast. Clean rooms. Furniture in lobby, very worn. Looked like they went dumpster diving. Goes for the mattresses too. Swag bad in the middle and springs squeak.

I booked this as a stay for my parents and was very disappointed to learn about the bad service they received. They checked in on a Friday and did not have their room cleaned until Tuesday morning, even though they indicated as directed that they wanted their room cleaned. My biggest concern is toward management, who when told about this did absolutely nothing to absolve the problem.

Best Western Huntersville North Carolina
Everything was exceptional from the housekeepers to the maintenance guy. Lashay and the kitchen worker were awesome. Boreeya just a jewel. The corporate office lady was as kind as they come. I am a hurricane survivor and I would like to say that Zaria the night receptionist took over an hour of her time to allow me to talk and grieve. I would ask that there needs to be a charging station in the rooms and the faucet in the tub was dangerously faulty. There were also amazing hiking trails near me which put me at ease. I would suggest that the motel do some research and tell the customers about what was around. Latta Nature Reserve is fairly close. The pictures are posted. The only really negative experience I had was with the property manager, Stephanie Johnson. She was dismissive and rude. I asked to borrow a block and she leaned against the wall, rolled her eyes, and refused to even look. Lashay was there and tried to make an attempt, but I think she feared for her job. I also believe that Zaria was fired for helping me. I am a retired teacher and as calm as they come. But I suffer from PTSD and Stephanie Johnson made my experience worse. I could not eat or sleep because I was triggered from the storm and the stress from her bullying felt like an assault. Unfortunately, road construction made it difficult to get in and out of lot. Not their fault, obviously. Lobby seemed dated and furniture worn. Otherwise everything was clean and staff was helpful.

If you live within 50 miles of the property you will not be allowed to check in and will be turned away. No where does it state this as a rule or restriction when we booked and this information is also not supplied on the properties direct website. Management stated there was no exceptions to this rule and would not comment if it was due to the recent weather related disaster or keeping local mischief away. It’s also intrusive to have your address read out loud and verified in front of a packed lobby of guests. You will wait in a long line to check in with only one staff member who turned customers with new or prearranged accommodations away. We stayed one night here during the week but would have chose other accommodation had this information been revealed prior to booking which it should be as this was a time consuming hurdle. No matter why the policy is in place, it should be prior beforehand knowledge.

The check in process was fine, but beyond that, it was bad. Our room had a strong pet odor, the ac did not work, they didn’t have clean towels for us or the other guests, and the free breakfast was missing items like gravy for the biscuits and gravy, and cups to have coffee. They did not have any box fans to help with the ac issue, so we were forced to stay in a smelly room (dog odor) with no circulating air and it was 84 degrees outside. Our door handle wouldn’t lock our room so we also had to worry about our belongings when leaving.

Very clean and staff very kind and helpful. Wheelchair accessible. I didn't use the pool and gym.Breakfast had the basics but good and the best is that you have juice and coffee available all the time, also apples and bananas. Bathroom spotless, the Toilet seat was a little loose but probably nobody reported it (including myself). You have a little shopping area in walking distance that has Aldi, a supermarket, pizza shop, waffle House, Taco.. I would go back to this place again. Good job and Thank you for your services.

Perfect Stay
I brought my mother to this hotel to stay a few days while her power was being restored in South Carolina from the hurricane. At check in, it was a little chaotic because they were just so busy, but after the manager, Stephanie, stepped in, she made everything perfect. My mom enjoyed her stay.

Our toilet seat was extremely loose and my husband had to tighten it. Our pillows were square and couldn't have been more than 18" square, if that. The bathroom light kept flickering. There was some weird stain on the blackout curtain. And for a non-smoking room it was unsettling to see a Black & Mild cigar wrapper on the floor by the dresser.
