We just spent three nights at this property. The entire staff did a great job of making our stay more enjoyable. If we needed anything it was taken care of immediately!
We appreciated the fact that everything was a short walk to access. We stayed Wednesday thru Saturday. Wednesday they were hosting a surfing experience for autistic children , the property was very busy but the staff handled it well. Thursday was a quiet day on the property but by Friday you could tell that things were ramping up for the weekend.If you want quiet and relaxation, I recommend staying Sunday-Thursday, weekends have a party atmosphere .
We had appetizers and drinks at Blu on Friday night. We got right in without reservations but I would recommend reservations! Service was great and food was good.
The hotel is a former Holiday Inn , great location right on the beach with all rooms having ocean views. The first floor has been updated and very nice, the rooms have had some updates and are satisfactory but the bathrooms could use a complete redo. It’s clean , just needs updating! We had issues with a loud air conditioner in our room and they immediately checked it out and moved us to a different room. We ran into a problem with our phone not working and it was taken care of in less than 10 minutes.
You can’t beat the location, with bars and restaurants located at the property and right across the street. There are many choices in a four block area. Loved the laid back vibe of Folly Beach !
