This is a really nice boutique hotel. We had a king room with a balcony. It was nice to look out and all that was happening outside. The location is excellent! There is no restaurant inside the hotel, but there are excellent choices just outside the front door, which was very nice. We had lunch at Amen St. and supper at Rudy Royale with the best Short Rib Ragu I have ever tasted! Breakfast was free and served inside the beautiful lobby. They served boiled eggs, grits, bacon bits, yogurt, and fruit. The staff were very nice & accommodating. Valet parking was expensive, but a nice treat. There is street parking with parking meters, and we found a parking garage a block or so over for $18 per day. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

My wife and stayed at the Palmetto Hotel after Christmas to celebrate her 50th birthday. Hotel staff could not be more welcoming. Lots of little extras in the room and surprisingly good breakfast offered each morning. This included: biscuits & gravy, fresh pastries and stone ground grits. Definitely recommend.

I found the Palmetto very quaint and comfortable. The staff members were very pleasant and engaging. Didn’t mind not having a microwave in our room. However, I found the absence of a refrigerator in our room inconvenient, as the hotel has neither a restaurant or snack kiosk. At a minimum I believe a microwave in the lobby for quest, and a snack kiosk would prove to be an asset for all.
