The location is perfect. A quick 5 minute drive into the historic center of Charleston and a twenty minute walk to Shem Creek makes this a great value. The room was decent and clean. However, it was pretty loud. Not sure how many children were at the hotel during our 2 day stay but we could hear them stomping directly above our heads at 6 am. That is not the hotels fault but it did impact of stay. I would stay here again based mostly on the location.

The room itself was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was nice. Pool was small but tidy. Front desk wasn't pleasant even once, and I wrote in my reservation that it was my birthday trip and requested a room away from the elevator. We were placed right across from the elevator. Didn't love that they didn't even try to accommodate me with that. A gaggle of young girls were loud outside our door at 1 am our last night before our 6-hour drive home the next day.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here—the bed was comfortable, bathroom was very clean, air conditioner was quiet, and breakfast area was right around the corner from our room. But the best part was the friendly funny “matron” who took care of breakfast. She was a hoot!
